can the people who ordered recently (after the IKV vacation) let me know if their io6 atties are coming with that soapy/primer taste?

want to give these a better try again

I have no strange taste on either my HV or LR io6's, received yesterday. I absolutely love these things.

My HV i06 just came in yesterday afternoon (friday)
and I just started breaking it in late last night.

No soapy taste here.

With my 100% PG juices, no soapy taste.
Wth my 50/50 PG/VG juices, no soapy taste.

It's been vaping nice & smooth right out of the box!

Well, uhm, there's just this one thing...

I can't see my room anymore after each exhale. :D

Atty: IKV i06 HV/3.5ohm
6v set up: 2 AW-16340 LiFeP04's
PV/mod: Megalodon

Just got mine in the mail today so these are my first impressions after about 1 hour of use (LR Version).

I like this atomizer! Right out of the package I have been impressed. I have tried LR 501's, LR 306's IKV Cannon Stealths, IKV Stealth 901's and other 901s. So far from using this for about an hour, I am getting the best flavor I have yet from an atomizer. I am a flavor junky and this is satisfying my flavor needs very well so far. It is also putting out very impressive vapor production also. I am a PG vaper, never more than 30% vg, and normally only 20%, so I generally dont have plumes of vapor from my Reos, GOOD vapor but not like the 100% vg users. This atty is putting out more vapor than I have gotten in the past from the other attys I have tried. I have also not been a major throat hit junky, and this atty is very surprising on it's TH. It on the high end of perfect for me.

Now this is the utterly subjective part as opposed to just the subjective part above, and again it's only my first hour or so with this atty. But I have found with all my other attys, I get a very dry scratchy throat in the first 2-5 mins of vaping with an atty. Again I am a PG user so I am not surprised. Often I find going to a carto helps with this. This has not happened to me yet with this atty.

I think what is really the thing I like about this one is the flavor. I am purposely using a "hit or miss" juice to test this one. I am tasting a LOT more than I ever did. The flavor notes are just turned up a notch it seems. Kinda like Hi Def, where its not a mish mash of flavor.

So in summary:

Flavor: Best I have had yet.
Vapor: Best I have had yet.
Throat Hit: Just right for me.

I do struggle with the propritary drip tip issue. That being said I do like the one that you can get. It is a bit short, but I like the feel of it (which is personal to each person). I read that Cherry Vape may make something for it, so thats hope I guess.

All in all, I would say that if you value flavor and vapor production, these could be worth a try. I hope the longevity is there. I will see, as I am gonna torture this first one on my new woodvil for as long as I can stand it. If they stand up, they will be in my box, and probably an atty of choice for me.

Day #25 Dripping heavily with my io6 @ 3.8V,3.9V,4.0V still going like the Day I started with it. No cleaning, just blew it out a couple of times and that's it. There so Good I stocked up Heavy and have them running on a few Mods. For the price and performance why use anything else these things are work horses that just keep going and put out clouds of very flavorful vapor.!

I'm toying with ordering some io6s ... Although I still love my stealth cannons. Waiting on the new batch of stealths...I might try these while I wait. Would it be possible to use a tube from a 510 or such and use a drip tip? Or would it be possible to cut the tip end of the io6 off and use a reg tip? Thanks in advance for any response!

You know, I tried both of these approaches last night. Tried slipping the tube from a 510 over it but the io6 is just a tad bit too small. You'd have to figure out a way to shim it up somehow. Then I tried cutting the top off the cheez-o plastic standard covering the io6 ships with. It was flexible enough that I could cram a 510 drip-tip into it and slip it back on, but it leaked a lot and felt super flimsy.
I'm sure one of us will come up with a solution.

I have to laugh about all of us. If you gave us a glass of water, we would try to mod it out somehow. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I need to go to Gummy's clinic. ;)

got mine hv and lr's in today. Thanks isaac! day 1 testing the HV is great! ive used almost every atty out there.. first outstanding atty that make me believe in LR's again was the 357 but i still had my gripes after a few weeks of use. just last week i was raving about the dripping atomizer from _ _ _ _ _ vapes.com and they really impressed me, more than the 357. again i had a few complaints. now i get the i06 and man... its spot on!!! Isaac, you never cease to amaze me. im in complete bliss. and they dont gobble up all my juice like the other atties.
the i06 is conservative, vapes massive clouds, the draw is PERFECT, and the flavor is great!
i'll do a youtube 1st impressions and review after a couple days of use.
Thanks again Isaac!
