... that would have been to wait for the BETA test results to come through first. Ikv will be closed 8/13-8/23 Post #2 and 5

just read the posts but i'm sorry i still don't clearly understand. i understand they're in BETA, but i'm not sure what the insurance has to do with it? all i know is at first it was required with insurance, then it was removed? was it intended for the first units to be sold with insurance required and then after a certain amount was sold to remove the insurance? i'm just not understanding that's all -.-

As far as I know the units have not been BETA tested yet. Only Loft and Isaac have used them. I ordered 10 for myself sight unseen. I don't expect them to be insured nor do I ever purchase insurance.

Isaac release 100 of each for folks to try out at their own risk, because folks did not want to wait for the test results, so he released a small qty. In the future if these get stocked I am sure you will be able to insure them.

Considering the hit Isaac took with the Canons not being thoroughly tested before release I do not blame him for one second of releasing anything else in the future prematurely. Speaking of that fiasco, that is why I purchased 10 sight unseen, that is how much confidence I have in both the man and the product. If folks are worried about the product then perhaps these folks should await for all the test results to come in and be analyzed before jumping in with both feet.

Isaac has never disappointed me yet and I am a finicky vaper. At the same time I am a realist :)

I guess that's what i'm trying to say. Despite them being in beta, I have full faith in the products and I just wish to not have purchased insurance. I bought 10 of these, and with out insurance I could have saved $15.

I really hope this is addressed. Like I said, I don't mind store credit at all.

I'm not sure your point was clear before the above post by Switched. I agree, I ordered a few yesterday "sight unseen" without being charged insurance for "beta testing purposes". Exactly what I wanted. Today when the were first listed by Issac I received a PM from him saying he was releasing 100 of each today. I put 4 dt's, 3 lrs and 2 hv's in my cart and there was no option to OPT OUT of insurance. The only two options were 1week, or 2/3 weeks (whatever it was). I never buy insurance for attys. Its pointless to me on a throw away item. Reguardless of being a beta testing item or not. To be fair and honest, I was NOT charged for the 4 io6 drip tips in my order. I emailed Issac, and pm'ed him so I could settle up on the dt's. I'm thinking that in my case being charged the extra $1.50x5 attys = $7.50 .... $2.49 per dt x 4 = $9.96...So I owe him $2.46
I just don't want to screw a good vendor out of money because of a typo...

You got me excited and hoped he did the same for my order (i ordered 3 drip tips) but nope =( lol

I agree,I see no purpose in getting in insurance for atomizers.. especially because I know they're checked for DOA before sent out. And I bought 10 of them.. there's just no way I'm going to be rotating 10 of them (5 are for a friend) in a week to find out if the insurance is even needed.

I don't mean to be so .....y in a thread, but i mean.. money is money. My order came out to $105.37, which is alot in itself...when it could've been $98.46. And honestly, the money is going to right back to Isaac anyway. and I wouldn't even be complaining if we all were forced to pay insurance or to not pay for it. It's just the fact that some of us had to and some of us didn't.

Despite all that I'll always be a customer at IKV because I love their products, just hope everyone at least sees where i'm coming from

While I understand how you guys feel about some being charged insurance, and others not, and it potentially being an issue with the site - could we please keep this thread on topic? It is for the beta testing of the io6. Not trying to be rude and I'm sure Isaac will get everything sorted out - but I don't want to see this thread go on for pages and pages of something not related to the beta test.
