In 1969 they were still standard cheerleader attire at my HS.All I know is I seem to remember them being all the rage for females for a time in the 1950's, early 1960's ..
Redundant answer. Already answered and I need to learn to read ahead. Hell it was the next post. For the life of me, I can't think of the shoes name .. somebody chime in .. ??
I went to public schools in NJ but school dress code forbade sneakers, jeans and T-shirts until after I graduated HS.I mostly wore tennis shoes, if I remember right. With a bad ankle, I felt more comfortable in something with closer contact to the ground. Always wear sandals in the summer.
I don't know if I ever had a pair of saddle shoes. My mother was appalled that the parents of a girl we knew never allowed her to wear tennies. Didn't give enough support, they said.
They may have been from one of the missionary orders.I guess I lucked out....I only had one year at the Girls Academy of Our Lady on Guam. Aside from not being allowed to wear so much as lipstick, and the ridiculous uniforms we wore there.....the Nuns were some of the kindest, sweetest women I have ever known..

Hi all thought I would check in. I've been lurking in other threads and one thing I have found is with the abundance of cheap high power mods it has definitely put them in the hands of people who never should have them. A lot of them have never even heard of Ohms Law and it shows. Oh well something else to give us a bad name.
My leg is still screwed up but I'm able to hobble around with a cane. Just can't believe how stupid I was by doing this and I'm paying for it now.
I'm not good at going back 10 pages and reading so I will just say hope everything is going good.
My wifes prescription for her pain meds which has to be mailed in has somehow gotten lost in the mail so she has to get a 7 day supply till the USPS decides that it is lost. It was supposed to be here the 28th and no word since it left MO on the 26th. What a hassle. I think it's crazy that she can''t get a 30 day supply at the pharmacy she has to use mail order and they send them 1st class sign required and the PO won't consider it lost till 30days after it was last scanned. Somebody probably stole it and sold it and made themselves $1K. What a hassle. I mean it's obviously missing cause I ordered something from Florida on Sunday at it is going to be delivered today. I can't wait for my leg to get better. All this pain to save 10seconds. Sheesh.

St. Joseph order was the worst, and I mean the worst of all the orders of which I had any contact.
IHM (Immaculate Heart of Mary) were the sweetest nuns and thank God the majority of my Catholic school training was by IHM.
I have an account with them so I get updates as soon as something is sent without even putting in for it. My sleeve got here today from Florida but these pills something has definately happened to. My wife was able to pick up a 7 day supply for free today but either they have gotten stolen or something. They are worth over on the street but they haven't turned up anywhere since they left Missouri last Tuesday. I am going to call the number at the PO tomorrow and Express Scripts and talk to a supervisor instead of one of the flunkies there. Here is a link to the USPS Track and Confirm web page. Also, on the right is "My USPS", where you can sign up to automatically receive notifications of parcels with tracking sent to your address.
When I receive a tracking number, I copy/paste the number into the web page. Then on the right request email updates of all future activity. My husband has our address set up in My USPS for packages addressed to him and our business. Mine don't seem to go to him, so I do it this way. Hey, does not need to know about all my vape mail![]()

I remember saddle shoes, but I went to public school and don't really remember wearing them. Penny loafers, however, that is another story!
I'm at work now. It was a rough night. I'm so glad her parents are here now. Phew.
You're such a sweetie Deb. Everyone HERE on this forum is.
Being a veteran of 2nd thru 9th grade Catholic school, just let me say...
Catholic girls worried 'bout shoes.. pshaw! T'was more 'bout using cotton balls, Kleenex or TP to enhance da SJS patch on their blouses. Must say dat dey sure could dance though, literally (don't know 'bout figuratively; their husbands usually don't have much to say)!
