This makes me think " Steampunk" vape stand
View attachment 491422
I want something like this fitted for my Vapes, I'd spend hours just spinning the wheels watching my mod's, juice, and atty;s go round and round.
Gonna have to seal this idea for my 3D printer.... where did you get the picture? Are there more of the same? What is it a picture of?

Before you jump on it - read the fine print - got some catches to it...
I was shopping for a Kindle a while back. They had some pretty cheap. I can't remember for sure what the catch was. I think it may have been something like advertising that would make it too miserable to use.

Whatever it was, I decided it wasn't worth it.

But, it would be so nice to have an entire library of books available on one tiny device that I could throw into my purse! I used to choose my purses based on how well they could carry books.

Well, I just got word that i've been rejected from the Research project. That oxygen/carbon dioxide exchange number kicked me out. Dr says my number was in the normal range but it was enough to eliminate me.
I'm not upset about it at all. I felt pretty much ambivalent about it all along. It is exciting to know that there is a possibility of this working for people with RA, & finally finding something that could wipe it out, or even have a longer lasting effect than what there is now. So i'm getting started with the organization that helped me before. Prayers please, that funding is available this year.

So sorry to hear about this, but the study will still go on and maybe something good will come out of it that you'll benefit from. I sure hope so. You've got a great attitude that is an inspiration.

Another beautiful South Florida day.. expecting between 2 and 4 inches total today with the possibility of it raining at 2 inches per hour. Looks like Iffy may even be getting it worse and they say the rainy season is over...

My sister lives in FL and I can't tell you the number of times we've each heard scary weather reports that turned out not to be the case at our location. To avoid panic we always contact each other to report on what's going on at our home. I used to work 8 miles from our home and even in that short distance the weather could be way different. It can be crazy, but at least we don't freak out anymore. I'm glad to hear Iffy isn't getting deluged with rain.

Tell your son I've adopted him and I'm expecting my kindle soon. I lost 70 or so "lit" file books cause win 8 won't read them. And I can't find a app to convert them. I hope Roboshark does eat "Bill "Glates" Long Live Paperbacks!

Lit was abandoned some years ago, and not just my Mickey.

But Calibre, which does fine on Win8.1, says it will convert them.

Yes! I did too! And always made sure there was room in the suitcase too. But the kids got me a Kindle for my birthday a few years ago and it's wonderful. I go on a ladies long weekend each year and we all would show up with a shopping bag full at books. When I arrived with my Kindle they all looked very sad... It's been great for traveling, but I do have to say that some books just need to be held. There's something comforting about turning pages and the Kindle is not good when it comes to maps or illustrations.

If you have a smartphone you can download the Kindle mmobil app from Amazon for free. You can get books in Kindle format for free on Amazon sent straight to the app on on your phone. Just search starting at 0.00
Good catch Kenna, I forgot about that since I have a dumb phone.

This is just a forum example off a blank stare.
Usually indicating that the brain is not working, or total lack of understanding when someone says something really stupid.

The first option was indeed the reason! :)

Kenna, feeling ambivalent is a good thing! I applaud you for your positive attitude!
Afternoon, Gracie. Is it raining up your way? Pouring here.
Well, it's a day or two late, but right now, the weather calls for a mostly cloudy day with chance of thunderstorms.

As some of you already know, a dear childhood friend passed on Wednesday night! It hit harder than I could have imagined, and gave me pause for reflection for my own existence.
Anyway, I am in acceptance mode right now, and even though she will be sorely missed, I have years of wonderful memories filled with love, laughter and the good times we shared in the 59 years we knew one another.

I love my Kindle but yes I am of mixed feelings about not using an actual book. I have a library of hundreds of real books. But with the kindle I have about a hundred in there now and room for more and can browse the web and check emails if wifi is available like while pigging out at Bob Evans or somesuch ;)

Wow.......the sun is shining on me today.....seems that my little grandson has been demanding that grandma be included in more family events....:)

going to a little cheese and wine gathering next week

That's so sweet! Maybe he can also just come spend time with you. Have a sleepover! There's lots of things you can do together and he'll always remember those times.

But you have to buy 6 to get that price? I'd like to have a couple, but have no need for 6. Group buy anyone?
No. $50 each. 6 for $250.
Yeah I think the $50 kindle has adds built in. And it's only a 7" screen.
As far as me... you can read kindle books on your pc. Open your laptop and they're there. Any tablet... got em. (Nope. Don't have a kindle)

But for me... don't get it. FInd it quite annoying. Gotta remember, everybuddy'z different! Nothin like a real book. And if you have a technical/manual type book... forget it.

Yeah Kindles suck for tech manuals. Too hard to go back and forth between pages referencing stuff. Would not like them for a school type book either. But I like them for reading a novel and such.

Ads. Ugh. I love the app on my phone. No ads & access to all my books. Have same app on my laptops. My phone is a Note 2 & I'm really happy with it. It.s big for a phone 5 1/2", but it's all screen. So I can see pics, videos, etc, easily.

The startup ads? If you pay more for your Kindle you have no ads. Or at least that was the way it was when I got mine. About 2 years now and my Kindle is still working fine.
The ads are an insignificant inconvenience. There was an offensive one a week ago, but just a passing thing.
