Bob not pushing but a smartphone purchase was one of the best things I ever bought. There is so much you can do with it.
I am just a techno luddite. The smart phones are too hard to carry around with me without breaking those expensive things. To me a phone is a phone I like my old flip fone just fine. For portable browsing I take my Kindle. Bigger screen and easier to use and can read a book on it without going blind.

Wife has a smart phone. 3 broken in one year....

Thank you! Yes, it was much needed!

Thanks Kay, and back atcha!

The first option was indeed the reason! :)

Kenna, feeling ambivalent is a good thing! I applaud you for your positive attitude!

Well, it's a day or two late, but right now, the weather calls for a mostly cloudy day with chance of thunderstorms.

As some of you already know, a dear childhood friend passed on Wednesday night! It hit harder than I could have imagined, and gave me pause for reflection for my own existence.
Anyway, I am in acceptance mode right now, and even though she will be sorely missed, I have years of wonderful memories filled with love, laughter and the good times we shared in the 59 years we knew one another.
Gracie I'm really sorry about your loss. I find this another of the bad but inevitable parts of growing older. We began to attend more funerals than birthday parties. I will keep you in my thought and please don't hesitate to ask if there is anything I can do to help you through this time.

Yeah Kindles suck for tech manuals. Too hard to go back and forth between pages referencing stuff. Would not like them for a school type book either. But I like them for reading a novel and such.
Nothing beats a foldout wiring diagram. Your right a PDF manual doesn't hold a candle to it but, I have to say it's better than nothing.

My daughter is like that. She can kill a smartphone in a heartbeat. I gave her my Note 2 when I got my new Note 4 and she had the screen broken in less than 2 months. When I gave it to her I had had it for 3 years and it looked like new.

Deb..if you can't make the HO, please let us know here!

Deba, and your son?
He's doing well, came home from the hospital yesterday. He's still pretty sore, and moving a bit gingerly, but is doing great. The more he moves the better it will get. He has to go back to work Monday, but can't lift more than about 8 pounds for awhile. Where they did it, he has to be real careful not to get a hernia since that muscle wall is really weak right now. Sorry I didn't get on yesterday. We were all worn out. I fell asleep on the couch twice. Woke up the first time, ate some pizza, and fell asleep sitting up on the couch. that sucked. lol But I finally did get some sleep. Thanks to all for well wishes and prayers.

That oxygen/carbon dioxide exchange number kicked me out. Dr says my number was in the normal range but it was enough to eliminate me.
I'm not upset about it at all. I felt pretty much ambivalent about it all along.
So sorry to hear this hun, but am so glad your attitude about it is so good. I'm sure its' for a reason. Blessing in disguise!

Wow.......the sun is shining on me today.....seems that my little grandson has been demanding that grandma be included in more family events....:)

going to a little cheese and wine gathering next week
That's fantastic!! so happy for you. Hopefully this will be the beginning of much healing.

As some of you already know, a dear childhood friend passed on Wednesday night

Mine is in a flip case. I've had it over 4 years with no issues. Even dropped it on cement a couple of times, but the case cushions it enough. One device for me. I can do anything on here I can do on my laptop, with the rigt app.

First off, be assured that we all are endeared and inspired with your spirit and attitude!

OT, due to my font and screen setup, gotta say da I first read your above sentence as "the ...... that..." <whew!!!>

Now that wouldn't have got on my reserve nerve. That would have just made me. . . reload. heehee

hopefully he'll like it and see the benefit of it.

I hope so. I hate forcing him to do anything. A cute therapist might just do the trick. A woman this morning told him to push her away as hard as he could and he grinned and said, "Why would I do that?" So yeah. . . he's getting better.

more vape mail LOL

And yet again, you posted without tell me what you are expecting. grrrr Do you have any idea just how "inquisitive" I am? heehee That's okay. . . I  you anyway. Now what the heck did you get?????

Patient (daddy) is doing remarkably well. Seems to be getting just a tiny bit stronger each new day. The cardiologist said he was doing so well, that they would take a scan Monday to make sure there is still no bleeding and then they would go ahead and start his on his Plavix and Warfarin. Originally they told me they would wait a month (which I was not very happy about). This is the medications that should help him not have another stroke. I'm all for that cause I can't take much more.

Well I finally got some sleep last night for the first time in weeks. I woke up and actually felt awesome. Methinks, I will try for another good night.
