Hump day sure seems to come around quicker, the older I get.
I noticed that too, not real sure I like it.

Good morning to all my friends and to all the new folks. Give it a little time and you'll all fit in,oh, about a minute or so. The porch reminds me of the famous (or not so famous) line by Barney in the Simpsons.. "I'm home". (I'll explain if needed ).

In summation, Mature Women do not generally need evaluation, approval or compliments, they tend to have a Take It or Leave It attitude .. yet when approval and compliments are tastefully delivered, they are very much appreciative ..
AMEN! Couldn't have said it better myself!

Doree plays games online and this commercial popped up. I nominate it for commercial of the week. Iffy I think you'll find this funny as H...! Anyway I did.

Yeah, it was funny, but I'll be damned if I'm doing that at my age. Hell, I didn't do it when I was younger.

LOL.....I worked with a young lady who had a "trim" done like the one shown in the far right of that commercial, just before a short trip........moral of the story.....she came back with a gold band on her left hand ;)

We are really dipping into "uncharted" territory .. the "area" is really divided into 3 factions, each with it's own supporters .. I'm not going to go any further ..

I know I've been scarce, but right now life away from the computer has me ripping and running. Once again, I need to go back to work to get some rest.

Debadoo, I'm glad your son's surgery turned out well. May he recover quickly and fully.

Welcome Newcomers! I think you'll like it here. Hell, they let ME in!

I almost went to the HO last night so y'all could see what I look like after I finish mowing the lawn. I had on a bandanna with one of those old fashioned lady gardening hats with the large brim. I thought I looked pretty funny. OH well, maybe next time. The computer has been giving me hell with my video driver and what not. I'm sure it's fixable, but I just haven't gotten around to it. I've been thinking of a new one, however, I don't know how much longer I'll have a job.

Yep, the oil and gas industry is floundering right now, and all service industries associated with it. I was in a meeting on Friday, and they told us that right now they're not trying to lay anybody off. However, if the price of oil slips any further, all bets are off. I truly don't know how much longer I'll be at my base, since the company we are contracted out to is at serious risk of bankruptcy. If that happens, they may make a place for me at headquarters, like they may not.

Now, as much as I'd like to retire, I really can't right now. So, we shall see. The funny thing about all of this is that I'm not really worried about what could happen. The good Lord has seen me through this many years, I have faith he'll keep me going some kind of way. I just mostly live on a one-day-at-a-time basis. I could drop dead tomorrow, and it wouldn't matter anyway. :)
