Sorry for your cloudy skies. We will probably never see this again, being old folks.

You know some people think there will be no tomorrow.
Someday there won't be.
someone somewhere must have sacrificed a goat. It is the only explanation.

I just came back in again, still nothing. I was hoping for peeks through the cloud cover since it's a Supermoon.
It's not very big.....or red........I've trotted out there 3 times now, I may go one more time, depends on if I have all my stuff together since my son's coming to get me when he gets off work.

Hope some clouds will clear for those not able to see it

Nope. I think I'm too closed in by trees & buildings, even if the clouds thinned enough. It's supposed to be in full eclipse right now, tho.

Even in full eclipse, you can see it fine. It just isn't very noticeable since it's a bit dim.

I've been running outside periodically while doing dishes. Then my grandson and I just walked the dog. It's just barely cloudy here. Can see it fine.

Nice.

Dave, did ya take those? If so, great job!
Yes, thanks. In full eclipse now and too cloudy to see. I'm thinking it might become visible through the clouds again as it becomes less eclipsed, but it's definitely cloudier now than it was an hour ago.

Good morning, Porchers!

Well, I finished my first week at work. It was great! But, now I'm nervous that I may have worked myself out of a job. I got so much more done than the shop owner expected that I may quickly end up with an even more part-time job than originally expected. His backlog is quickly disappearing.

So, I'm already thinking of new projects to work on that would help him.

Outstanding! If you can invent your own job, you can also make yourself indispensable.

Sounds good to me! He's actually eager to hear new ideas. And, if it's at all computer related, it'll be me that does it since he hates the computer.

ETA: And, the moon is already halfway uncovered again. The full moon is going to be beautiful.

Nice shots, Bells! Here's mine...
Wow! Great photo, DaveO!
Here's one at 10:17 pm ET, getting close to total eclipse, and another at 11:45 pm ET as the moon was getting uncovered at the tail end.
Also, was just watching Parts Unknown when Anthony Bourdain said that "Sanjay Gupta is a lot more fun now that he's vaping."

Thanks! Had to drive up the road a couple miles so Mt. Rainier cleared the trees. View is from WSW of the mountain.
I had always thought (incorrectly) that the name was Mt Ranier. Pretty funny that a Washington State mountain is called rainier.
