Wow, what an upbeat day! Had an Home Care nurse, sweet Sharon, drop by today to evaluate Patty's issues. Long story short, PT and medical assistance here at home as needed. She also offered to look into social services and my GI options for a retired vet's spouse care. I don't know if she's a PR specialist, but she was pleasantly surprised, and relieved, with our 'physical attention to and self care' at home.

To top it all off, she noted my vaping and made a comment. Well, that just kicked off my vaping 'spiel and spew', and HC took a 20 minute back seat. She's been vaping fer two years and was complaining 'bout TW's prices. Dropped her jaw when I gave her a couple of non-TW price examples; not counting DIY advantage$. Gave her an ECF card with my nomer and she promised she'd take a 'sip from da fire hose' of info here.

I offered and she accepted a lil' mentoring via phone, if need be. We'll see...

Plus, got to replenish my fireman v-vert's no nic/flav supplies dis PM!

Better day today... in spite of dreary but pleasant weather!

I got the DJI Phantom 3 Standard model. Yes, you need a smart phone or tablet. I got the Nexus 7 version 2, but it's too wide to fit in the remote control smartphone holder. I'll have to rig up some alternate method. The Phantom 3 Advanced and Professional models have a different type of holder that would hold the Nexus 7 nicely, but the Standard model was significantly less expensive. With my history of having quadcopters escape from me I did not want to go whole hog.

Word is that the cheaper prices on the DJI Phantom 3 quadcopters is due to the fact that GoPro is going to come out with what may be a better and lower priced quadcopter.
I couldn't afford a Phantom, however, I could afford to pick up the Blade 350 QX3. I am just getting used to it. I think it will be an excellent platform and later I will be adding my GoPro 3 to it. I joined the AMA and now I am researching local flying clubs.

I don't know what you do for respite services, but if you leave her alone at home, that could be an anxiety problem in itself for you.

There are legends of ancient astronomers being able to mystify the public because they had foreknowledge of eclipses.

Not to belittle the appreciation of all things good and wonderful, but the eclipse was not some unpredictable event that just happened to occur as the Pope was flying back to Italy. Sheesh.

Did I miss something? I don't think anybody thought that the Pope mysteriously caused the eclipse. The way I read it, it was just interesting that his trip and the eclipse coincided. It's not like the eclipse is a rare occurrence.

I don't know if you missed anything, but you interpret the comments differently from the way I interpret them. No biggie; my comments were lighthearted and based on my own perceptions of what was being said by several people earlier in the day.

And someone must have sacrificed a goat to make the moon come back. A centuries old tradition preceeding Christianity.

If it was sticky you can even rinse it off with water and then proceed.

May I suggest, only as the last resort!

I don't want to lose the flavor just sweeten it a bit. I was thinking 5% but have never used it for sweetening and that is what I have it for. It is a very complex flavoring but good just kind of bitter.

Personally, I would start with one drop per 'tank' (3-5ml). Then go from dere if needed.

May sound counter-intuitive, but have you tried lemon juice or apple cider/white vinegar (Dave's grinnin') yet?

It's not like the eclipse is a rare occurrence.

In comparison, there are many more eclipses than papal visits... outside of Rome, of course.

"Each calendar year has at least four eclipses – two solar and two lunar. Most years have four, but five, six or even seven eclipses are also possible", as per EARTHSKY.

I have been using the 40's (with full sized Nauti's) for work and the IPV D2's (with full sized SubTank) for home. Roughly the same height but the D2 is a bit wider and heavier. I likely will never use the TC, only got the 40's for the size and length of charge, and the D2's for the size and replaceable battery. Both work very well and serve my purpose. For now, my Provari's have been benched .

Yes, it is nice to have the longer battery life. I remember Tx saying he was getting tired of the smaller batteries when he sold me his Rider, but at the time I was new to the P mini so it didn't bother me. Now I'm lazy. I was thrilled when I got the MPV, but I've had it for about a year and the other day it wouldn't work. Mike determined that the threads were going on it. What??? NO!!! So he got it working again, but I'm just babying it. That thing lasts me for several days, but I do prefer the rounder edges on the iSticks though.

Cleaning the keyboard. Simple. Read this a while back and tried it. It "usually" works. Saved a couple.

Now, take a deep breath and pay attention. When all else fails. Top shelf. Dishwasher. Yep. I mean jup. Actually worked. Key is let it dry at least a week.

out of sympathy sheer clumsiness, i "cleaned" my keyboard by dumping a full cup of coffee on it. second keyboard in as many months (they don't like ejuice much either)

my printer died last week. i'm getting pretty sick of Best Buy. i suspect my ipad is next to go.

Arrrrrgh! That is SO frustrating! I had to have my keyboard replaced due to cat hair getting under the keys! I tried to keep it clean, honest. So I bought a "keyboard skin" from Apple that was stupid expensive and it didn't last very long. Then I got one for $7 from Amazon and like it even better than the expensive Apple one and it's prettier too. You can lift it off very easily and even wash it if you want and it goes right back on. Now I don't have to worry about the cat hair or spilling anything on it.

I too got it for the size, TC may be used but not a priority. But I must say I actually thought it was going to be around the size of the stick 50 not 20.

Seems w/ you're 'style' the iPad's safe ... it has a liquid proof keyboard.

I bought an iStick a while back .. it was either a 30 or a 40 .. it still resides in it's packing material .. I'm still limping along with my 510's, Spinners and Twists .. using old Evods for the most part and a carto/tank .. oh, the humanity .. ;)

I will say, though, that I did actually buy some "organic Cotton Balls" (whatever that means) and have re-wicked my Evods a few times .. I was just throwing them in the trash, but I figured, hey, at a buck a pop, a $5.00 bag of these "organic Cotton Balls" would pay for themselves in short order .. in fact, just a dozen balls or so would likely last a long long time .. .. at first, I thought I'd need a microscope, but using my large clamp on magnifying glass on my workbench that use for fine work while wearing my glasses at the same time, provided enough magnification with which to do this .. I'd guess the stents embedded in my heart are near the size of these coils .. ;)

Wow - you're re-wicking now ... just might someday get you building on real RBA. :thumb:

Quite so, but having the lunar one with a supermoon does make them less frequent. It's the combination of eclipse WITH moon at perigee.

Absolutely. I am looking forward to trying temperature control but, am not locked into it by any means. Your right it's tiny. Let's see how long the battery lasts. Can you vape while charging? And 28 bucks! Need I say more!

So how are ya liking it so far Matt? I love mine; great little form factor for the battery size. Being the tootle puffer that I am I opted to buy a box of TC coils that fit my GS Air-M, but haven't tried them out yet. I'm liking the Nauti mini on mine for now. Here's a pic of mine, got her decked out in some autumn colors.
