I read on WIKI that a good keyboard cleansing involves a Power Washer .. just set it on the ground, hold your foot on it and blast it .. then, hit it with a leaf blower on full to dry it .. I love power tools ..

A decent cheap keyboard can be had at the Walmart in my area for under $10 clams .. I've seen pallets of wireless keyboard/mouse combos at times for $12 .. why futz with an old POS that's frustrating and not smoothly operational .. ??

Wow, what an upbeat day! Had an Home Care nurse, sweet Sharon, drop by today to evaluate Patty's issues. Long story short, PT and medical assistance here at home as needed. She also offered to look into social services and my GI options for a retired vet's spouse care. I don't know if she's a PR specialist, but she was pleasantly surprised, and relieved, with our 'physical attention to and self care' at home.

To top it all off, she noted my vaping and made a comment. Well, that just kicked off my vaping 'spiel and spew', and HC took a 20 minute back seat. She's been vaping fer two years and was complaining 'bout TW's prices. Dropped her jaw when I gave her a couple of non-TW price examples; not counting DIY advantage$. Gave her an ECF card with my nomer and she promised she'd take a 'sip from da fire hose' of info here.

I offered and she accepted a lil' mentoring via phone, if need be. We'll see...

Plus, got to replenish my fireman v-vert's no nic/flav supplies dis PM!

Better day today... in spite of dreary but pleasant weather!

So glad you are getting some help! It will be good for you and Patty both to have some assistance, and PT. And helping a vapor is right up your alley!

Well, unc. I think the idea is to have a spare on da shelf when the one you have inevitably dies. :) But a power washer... prolly blow da keys off!

Not to mention... I wouldn't even think of a $10 KB. Don't like the cheesy feel of em.

Damn that WIKI .. they failed to mention that .. ;) .. disclaimer .. Anything I post after the Magical Hour of 11 PM Central is to be discounted as the late night ravings of pure BS (maybe .. or maybe not .. ??)

But you could rearrange them to, say, a Dvorak layout...

Now, you see, this is what I like .. solid, American ideas and ingenuity .. or, Instantly Print a New Keyboard with a 3-D Printer ..

Great idea, Unc! And even combine them, new software for each printed, monthly keyboard! Delivered on an auto-run CD, since he won't have a keyboard to use to start printing it!

I'm taking notes for my next startup and IPO .. .. and, as an option .. we'll include a spool of 3-D printer plastic in your choice of color .. but wait, there's more .. ;)

So how are ya liking it so far Matt? I love mine; great little form factor for the battery size. Being the tootle puffer that I am I opted to buy a box of TC coils that fit my GS Air-M, but haven't tried them out yet. I'm liking the Nauti mini on mine for now. Here's a pic of mine, got her decked out in some autumn colors.

You should post that in the Girly pretty thread - they will LOVE it!

while a 3-D printer COULD print a keyboard,it would take about 18 hours, and the printer would have to be stopped every so often to insert the electronics.
what we need are Star Trek REPLICATORS!
