Cooked something I've never cooked before: butternut squash. Left the peel on, cut out the seed section, cut it in half lengthwise, put cinnamon on the pieces and steamed them in the pressure cooker. Sprinkled some sugar on it after this picture was taken. Practically a dessert. Scrapes down to the peel easily with a spoon, without tearing the peel.

jup he does

I'm enjoying the new TV show Limitless. Sort of like Forest Gump and Flowers for Algeron meets Numbers in The Matrix while the White Knight's talking backwards.
I enjoyed it too. Good description. Well, due to rain, tv out in this motel and wifi wonky. Hope this goes thru!

Wow, what an upbeat day! Had an Home Care nurse, sweet Sharon, drop by today to evaluate Patty's issues. Long story short, PT and medical assistance here at home as needed. She also offered to look into social services and my GI options for a retired vet's spouse care. I don't know if she's a PR specialist, but she was pleasantly surprised, and relieved, with our 'physical attention to and self care' at home.

To top it all off, she noted my vaping and made a comment. Well, that just kicked off my vaping 'spiel and spew', and HC took a 20 minute back seat. She's been vaping fer two years and was complaining 'bout TW's prices. Dropped her jaw when I gave her a couple of non-TW price examples; not counting DIY advantage$. Gave her an ECF card with my nomer and she promised she'd take a 'sip from da fire hose' of info here.

I offered and she accepted a lil' mentoring via phone, if need be. We'll see...

Plus, got to replenish my fireman v-vert's no nic/flav supplies dis PM!

Better day today... in spite of dreary but pleasant weather!

That's so wonderful to hear! Most importantly, I'm glad you and Patty are finally getting some help.

Of course, sweet Sharon is a vaper! Vapers are the best people!

Well shoot, the skin was delicious too. Never sure whether or not to eat squash skins but usually end up eating them. Robert, do not try this at home... I think you'd find the taste of the peel to be bitter.

Amazon uses the USPS all the time for the Prime deliveries. When I first started with them everything came UPS now it's more USPS. I ordered a set of six Yamaha speakers for the home theater install and the shipped USPS. Should of seen the poor dude toting them up the driveway.
Well, of course. Why on Earth would anyone ship anything with a company who's initials are pronounced "Oops!"?
