This gave rise to the extreme zealots we now see .. who, essentially, have decided to revive traditions that have been dormant for hundreds of years ..

If we look back at our own History, many parallels exist .. one example, every island Columbus landed on, he planted a cross, claiming ownership for the Catholic Church and declaring the Native population as Idolators, allowing him to essentially do whatever necessary to gain their obedience to the Church .. and the cruelties inflicted on the Native population were as horrendous or more so than what we see in todays World .. there are many, many examples of Christianity and cruelty based on interpretations ..

Even closer to today, I could cite a laundry list of White Supremacist Radical Christian atrocities that have happened in our own Country .. starting with a guy by the name of McVeigh ..

We need to listen and take into account what Willie is saying. The difference is that these are religious fanatics and you aren't going to beat them. You are going to have to destroy them, every last one of them. It's like a snake that when you cut Ines head off two or three more pop up. I truly don't believe the world has the heart to fight that kind of war. I am a 58 year old cancer survivor with one lung and bad arthritis and I will tell you right now. I am not going to live under these folks and I will fight to my last breath to prevent that. And that is possibly what it will take. Remeber6by dieing as martyrs their place in heaven in the arms of 99 virgins is assured. Not just a saying that we non Muslims like to repeat. These folks REALLY believe it.

Instead of pounding my head against the wall regarding the current discussions, I went out and flew again.

This won't make any of you who want a drone want one less. As the sun was dipping low I flew 2500' away and back at 250' altitude. I've got a buddy who lives on the other side of the pond that I was approaching before I retreated. One of these days I'll get all the way to his back yard, but not at 250' altitude; the craft would have to be higher because the trees block line of sight transmission of the shortwave communications. I was starting to lose video signal (only lost it for a second or two and still had quad control signal) and that's why I came back at that point. More details if you view the video on YouTube.

Committing a criminal or politically motived act or any other kind of act, while claiming "religion" does not make it in fact religious. However, I'm thinking that regardless of the true motive behind the act, the word evil applies.

If one set of people interprets a religion's scriptures to mean one thing, while others derive a totally different set of beliefs and behavioral standards from the same body of scriptures, then there must be a parting of the ways. Those who wish to take the world back to their interpretation of 1000 AD or 1830 AD or 32 AD sociological and cultural mores usually are the rejected splinter of the larger group. Those who justify violations of just laws and preach hatred then lose the privilege of religious freedom, and must be deemed a hate group.
