yeah was thinking later I should have done that, but was so exhausted that night, and it would have taken some doin to get it in the fridge or freezer til I could have boiled it. By next year we'll have my freezer over here, it's small but an upright deep freeze. So next year that's in the works.

Jup.... a kitchen aid stand mixer (with many attachments) has been on my wishlist for many years. One of these days!
I have the kitchen aid stand mixer but I have the extrusion pasta maker that pushes the dough through for spaghetti (add on to the meat grinder attachment). I dearly want the one with the roller but it is going to have to wait a bit. Vapocalypse first noodle roller later ;)

I make perogies but I don't even roll them I just stretch out the dough, plop on a dollop of filling, fold it over and seal it and cut the edge with a glass. Right or wrong its how Grandma Babychuck did it so it is how I have always done it. Perogie dough is very elastic.

Ravioli Alfredo, thats all im saying.

Last stinkie 10/15/2013
Want a good laugh I make chicken alfredo in the crockpot. Just add noodles later. Actually there isn't much I don't make in the crockpot. It is so HOT here in the summer using anything else just heats the house up too much.

Memories !!! my grandmother would roll out a huge circle of dough....place it on flour sack dish towels on top of her bed to let it dry a bit......bring it back in the kitchen, roll it up like a jelly roll and slice it with a knife. I got to help unwind the spirals....

Different version:
Memories !!! my aunt would roll out a huge circle of dough....place it on flour sack dish towels on top of her......kitchen counter, sprinkle it lightly with flour and roll it out so thin you could read a newspaper through it. Then she cut strips vertically then horizontally in about 3 inch pieces put then in the pot with the chicken pieces and broth. Tasted so good it made you want to slap yo' Momma!

Sounds like what the Amish called chicken pot pie. I think of pot pie as having a crust like a pie, but they put square noodles in it and call it pot pie. At least that's what a young woman told me.

At least you'll be able to practice your stealth vaping!

Actually, I'll be doing my level best to nap.

Is it visiting you don't really want to do? Or, just need the rest more? Hopefully, your visits will leave you refreshed.

Medical procedures? Not so fun. But, hopefully you'll feel better in the long run. I'm glad you're getting it taken care of. Be well!

The visit turned out very well. I think I probably needed that. I'll be glad when all this is over with and we can get on with whatever needs to be done.

not fun at all, but so glad you're getting things seen to. Be sure to let us know how you're doing and what they say.

I'll let y'all know when they let me know. When I go back out Thursday, I'm going back out for 11 days. Yeah, I know. I've lost my sanity.

It's funny. I often don't know what I need until I try it. I'm glad it helped.

I know. It drives me crazy, the waiting, the unknown. I guess all you can do is see the steps each as an end and try not to think ahead until that becomes the next step. I know, easier said than done.

11 days? Is that going to be it until after Christmas?

Crap, our PBS is transmitted via USF (Univ So Fla) locally. Sorry if it's not available elsewhere.

Regardless, if ya must, Google it! So totally awesome, wholesome and entertaining...

ETA: OK, just found out this is a local 'fund drive' for PBS donations. Nonetheless, catch it when ya can!

Wow! That was way up there! Awesome view!
380 feet altitude for that flight. Nice view from up there and with all the trees surrounding my takeoff location, greater altitude equals greater remote control distance. So far, I've kept this particular quad at or below the FAA-recommended 400' altitude. If and when I take it on up to 1000' I'll be able to fly further away.

You have good control over it! Very nice! Where's my wave? :tumble:
Got to keep you guessing, can't make "the wave" a foregone conclusion.

Love that!

I bought Doree a KitchenAid stand mixer for Christmas probably 35 years ago. Still have and it's still running strong. Excellent machine. Definitely a lifetime investment.

PSA - Porch Service Announcement...

Celtic Woman: Destiny - on PBS @ 8:00 PM EDT!

ETA:
Tomorrow - 9:30 PM
Tuesday - 3:00 AM

Pure enjoyment!!! Crank up da volume 'til your ears bleed and your heart melts...
Generally whenever the local PBS station has Celtic Women on it's begging week so its interrupted every 15 minutes for 10 minutes of begging. It's about time for the fall pledge drive now if I remember correctly. ;) I'm a supporting member of our local station. Have been for years. Lots of great programming but, with all the new cable networks NatGeo, etc. They give em a run for the money these days. Love me some This Old House Hour.

They were, and mine is nearly 20 years old, but the original company is no longer making them, and the new ones aren't the same quality.
