Holy crap ... I think I would have gotten into it with that woman. But then she'd likely call the cops on me.
I am not a confrontational person but knowing that I am not beyond calling those that are paid to handle confrontational situations. hehe

omgggggggg Can't believe she just hit him......did she even get out of the car and seem the least bit concerned????

Iffy, can't believe that woman actually hit the guy and then didn't stay to get him help.

Yes, she stopped and hung 'round 'til the gent hobbled off. I asked her if she had anything to place under his head. She grabbed a thick comforter.

Sorry if I misled y'all... She wasn't goin' anywhere while I was there!

I am another in the hearing problems end of thing. Though mine is basically not correctable with a hearing aid and since it is only on one side I just live with it rather than take a shot a an implant. Hearing is fine on the other side. Mine is from an injury.
If you have good hearing in one ear, an implant would never be approved unless you were willing to pay cash. They usually implant the better ear, and you would have to be awfully deaf to want that. However, they have HA's that pick up the sound on the deaf side and transmit it to the hearing side. Gotta be a real picky hearer to want that, or a teacher of behavior disordered kids or a prison guard. I have terrible difficulties figuring out where (360 degrees) a sound comes from.

Glad you called the cops. Some people use victimhood to try to claim all kinds of privileges.

As for rude people knocking people down. Right after Katrina we got swamped by refugees from farther south. I didn't have a washer back then so I was in a washeteria. I had put my clothes in and started the machine and bent down to grab the liquid soap ( put it in after water is in the machine). Some woman twice my size just knocked me flat on my keester, took my wet clothes out of the washer(dumping them on the floor) and put hers in the washer to use the cycle I had paid for. Then she yelled at me "I am a Katrina refugee deal with it _____. " I um called the cops. ;)
Did they handle it?

Yes. Maybe not as satisfactorily as I would have liked but it got handled. She basically had to pay me for the washerload, got banned from the property, was made to apologize and I got talked out of filing charges.

yep that is kinda where I am with the hearing. It is aggravating sometimes to hear a siren and have to keep scanning all directions to figure out which way it is coming from. Particularly bad down near the river where sound bounces around easily. Also if people mumble I have a rough time. Either way I function alright.

I have only about 25% hearing loss, not enough for hearing aids, but enough to annoy the hell out of She Who Must Be Obeyed

Last stinkie 10/15/2013
Are you sure that's a hearing loss and not the male selective hearing trait? ;)

They tell me my opposite applied for the position of "International Materials Manager". BWAHAHAHAHAHAhaha.......I bout fell off my chair laughing. Lazy little chit can't even take care of his share of our parts room much less manage International. If he gets that position, I will then KNOW for sure that he has pictures of somebody doing something unspeakable to a goat.

That, or he knows someone in the F.B.I. (Friend, Brother, In-law)

Basic listening skills. Lipreading becomes so automatic that you have difficulty "hearing" when not looking at a person's lips. Passive-aggressive mumblers usually do something to hide their lips. I HATE bushy moustaches, for example.

A mustache on the right mouth is yummy......don't care what he might be attempting to say.....
