Willie,

Again, you've paid an honorable and fantastic tribute to our Tx! That vid tribute will never be equaled, let alone surpassed, in ECF history.

It's such a sweet, sentimental, but yet poignant reminiscent (noun) for the privileged that truly appreciated and loved Tx!

Thanx, from the bottom of my ol' heart!

Caution: Flashbacks can cause tears!

Johnny, I truly hope that the "Old Timers" don't get tired of a re-hash, so to speak .. and I also truly hope the "New Timers" will gain some degree of insight into the guy that took those early steps back when the roots were still taking hold .. and, when and if the need ever arose again for any of us, and I had the material to work with, I'd do it again (if I were able) .. there is a certain Native American guy that I always think of when I re-play the TX vid ..

Willie, I, for one, will never tire of 're-hashing'. Those are beautiful memories that I, and am sure many others here, cherish.

Thank you again for another heartfelt tribute! :) It was quite touching!!!

Again, I did not have the pleasure of knowing him, but I always love the tributes and will never tire of such wonderful tributes to a truly fantastic, loved man.

Wow didn't get totally caught up before I signed off last night, but wow, got two pages on the old porch now 3 on this one to catch up on.

Just wanted to thank everyone so much for their prayers, and let y'all know that the bone spur surgery went great, took about 20 mins, and recovery about the same. They got a lot of numbing meds in there so it's just a tad tender. They want him off work longer than the job gave him, so after he'll figure out later if he'll try to go back Saturday with restrictions of not being on his feet much, or tell em he won't be back til after Dr appt next Monday. So glad he was able to get this done, and hope it makes a HUGE difference with the pain he's been in. Appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts and wishes so much!

Here's hoping its successful for him. I was having heel problems last winter. Couldn't walk without limping. The foot doc had me wear a 'air cast' for a few weeks and large daily consumption of an ibuprofen medicine. It eased the pain and now I wear 'Super Feet' insoles in my shoes for good support. So far, so good.

If his doc hasn't recommended good arch support inserts for his shoes, I recommend he look into it.

For me, Tx was dat ol' slouchy cowboy hat that was weathered and survived so much and yet still was relied upon. Regardless of condition, fashion and 'weather', he was there with a heart and soul as vast as his background!

Elbert
, for me, was a 'new' pair o' boots that surprisingly and unassumingly didn't need any break in period, and 'fit' like ol' broke-in mocs/slippers. My regret is that his heritage mentoring was just gaining grand momentum when he 'soared'!

And, yes, I can't think of one without cherishing the other... <sigh...>
