Sitting in the cardiologist waiting room. First time in over three years. I suspect this is not going to be good. Guess we'll find out soon enough. Bet there is another cardiocath in my immediate future. Let you all know when I do. :)
So, did they run a bunch of tests? Did the doctor seem concerned? What's next?

Simply have to share some good news I received this morning.

My youngest daughter was re-certified as a National Certified Teacher.

Mama is quite proud and she is so happy!! :)
Congrats to your daughter, Gracie! I had never heard of such a thing. How could anyone be certified in every single state? It would be fascinating to hear about what all that entails and all the differences between states.

Glad you made it back to the Porch, Russell! It's nice to *see* you again.

Suzette, I can't remember if I welcomed you yet. I've been a little scattered lately. Your post about txtumbleweed's posts helping you on your path was very inspiring. I'm glad to see you've made yourself comfortable!

The mountains in Mexico are supposed to slow it down, & break up the base, but the top is miles high so may cause the bottom to regroup. If it does, it.s gonna be a dirty storm. Crossing all that desert area & sucking up sand, turning it to mud & dumping it here.
Ok.......I decided.........THIS will NOT be permitted!! so there!! :pervy:

Think my next vehicle may be a Subaru... gotta adopt 'nother dog first...
dadgummit!! why you wanna make me start snifflin already! Love that commercial but it always gets me.

Welcome back!!! Good to see ya!!! and wahoooooooooo on 2 years!!!

I've found better cakes, but they say one year on them. Need to get one of our techy gif folks to do a great cake for me that doesn't list a particular year.
Hope you'll be able to come around more often now!!

Got a cardiolite stress test next scheduled next Monday and a Echocardiogram on Wednesday
prayers goin up hun. Glad you're getting it checked out and so glad your card is on top of things! Hope you find one as good or better in Florida!

that's priceless!!! Love it!!!

I didn't even wake the last few nights when Doree came to bed. Not bad if I do say so myself.
That's wonderful!!

My youngest daughter was re-certified as a National Certified Teacher.
wahoooooooo!!! When I was in school for respiratory, one of the reasons I chose that over nursing was that respiratory was a national board whereas nursing was a state board.

Ken, love the glow in the dark stuff.

Jewels isn't gone forever, a part of her will be with us always, along with others

Sorta half read, half skimmed the article. Since I have a scriptural viewpoint, can't really get behind much of what they said, but hey, maybe science is getting there!

thanks for all the well wishes for the weather in Texas. As for me, more rain today than what we've been having, and my back today says something major is on it's way, but so far so good. I'm right in the path of it from what I've been hearing, but who knows what we'll end up with. My son's dog Frankie wasn't too happy about it though.... opened the door this am......he raced out onto the covered patio.......saw all the rain coming down, hit the brakes, and ran back to the door to be let in!! lol I always say this dog has a camel bladder anyhow, and nothing could convince him he needed to go potty. It did get a bit much for him later though.......he raced out, took care of business and raced back in. lol

Nothing in particular. Been having some tightness in my chest and will break out into a sweat just sitting in the living room watching the tube. I had an appointment for my annual cardiologist check a day after I got diagnosed with lung cancer in 2012 and didn't make it and I'm just getting around to doing it. Got a cardiolite stress test next scheduled next Monday and a Echocardiogram on Wednesday. This dude don't fool around. I've had 2 cardiocaths with him in the last 10 years. If he thinks you need checking out, stand by it's coming!
Oops, missed this. So, you had already answered my question.

Please, let us know how it goes. We're rootin' for ya!

Oh yes, along with those perks and a substantial increase in salary!

OK, now I get it, there's a national one for massage therapy that my daughter has. So glad there is such a thing out there for those interested in excelling in their career. It would set them apart for sure. (Still, it makes me wonder if there are different brains and muscles in different states.) I guess passing a national test means that you're smart enough to teach in even the states having the most difficult testing and that's impressive. There is a lot of competition in some districts for jobs and this would certainly enhance a resume for wherever she chooses to live.

Like I said first test is cardiolite stress test. It's a run on the treadmill then a baseline scan by the machine then they inject you with some radioactive tagged stuff and you hang around for 2.5 hours then a scan for about an hour or so that shows how your heart is. If you've had a heart attack some parts of your heart will be dead not absorb any of the radioactive crapola.
After that on Wednesday I'll have a echocardiogram. That's like an ultrasound for the heart. After that I'll get the results of both tests on Wednesday. Then we (Doctor and I) will decide where to go next.

Hope you pass your tests well.
Did you study for them?

I had to take a drug test at work and they would not let me study for it?

I'm home if you want to do the Odyssey thing.

For all those ladies in the HO. I have pics ready. I still don't have my ottoman cushion yet. It's been a month. The manager said yesterday two or three more weeks. :-x I didn't want to wait that long, so I snapped pics after Greg got the wall hangings up. One is my view from the sofa and the other is facing to corner of the lanai we turned into an outdoor living room.

We're so proud of our new back porch! The one we tore down was heavy rotten wood with giant supporting beams everywhere that you had to walk around. The roof was plywood, shingled, sheet rocked with insulation, skylights and huge leaks and This one is aluminum with a Styrofoam core. We extended it past the master bedroom, but haven't decided what to do with the extra space.

Here's a great site for colored glass. I have bought a few of them from here as well as matching drip tips. I have a Goliath v2 on the way and if I like it I will be ordering some colored glass tanks from him for it.
