Ten cent gas and 15 cent cigarettes, you guys are older than dirt. I do remember gas being 19.9 cents, but I was a toddler then. ;)
Gas was $0.30 a gallon when I first got my license.

When I was younger, annual trips in the back seat of a 1951 Pontiac and later a 1961 Oldsmobile, to either maternal grandparents in Ohio or paternal grandparents near Iffyville Florida. Learned to swim in motel pools.

One of the jobs assigned to us kids was to be on the lookout for the cheapest gasoline. Learned about the places with huge signs touting ridiculously low prices, only to find out there was invisible fine print that said "plus federal tax". Sneaky conniving sumsofbeaches.

The Kansas City Royals are in need of some relent if anyone can spare some. They were relentless.

I had no vested rooting interest but that was a very entertaining World Series.
My daughter is ecstatic.

Experienced the same problem with the formatting this morning. Occasionally it will do the same thing but clears up when I refresh the page. However, that didn't clear it up today.

I was still able to post, edit and "like" even when the problem was occurring. Seems all better now. I use Chrome.

It is pouring today. We are under flash flood warnings. I am thankful that we do not have any problems here. Other than my dogs bladder's are quite full. I'm glad they don't sneeze often like me. Lake Rat overflow's sometimes.

have you ever had/made chocolate mayonnaise cake?
Yep and it was good. The "fat" is where its "at". heehee I've been using a half a cup of plain applesauce instead of a half a cup of vegetable oil and it is awesome also.

for reminding me about the cake. I'd already forgotten.

How can people from the country where baseball is still relatively popular be critical of the level of action in soccer? Eh?

I know, I know... it's just been the vogue thing to do for so long that it's become habitual for we Americans to make fun of soccer. I've heard "soccer will never be popular in the US" all my life, but it's a lot more popular now than it was 50 years ago. Improvements in television clarity and cameras have made it a lot more interesting to watch.

But the overall impression that male soccer players are spoiled brats, well, I'm kinda infected with that attitude myself.
