Stop bragging, you just got lucky.
I tried something I was a bit sceptical about but it actually works. It's called Smooth Move Tea. No I have a cup every night before I go to bed with a half a cap of Muralax. Seems to work really good. You might want to give it a try.

Happy VD, sad to say but I don't really see a whole lot of enthusiasm for Veterans Day . The local school system holds Vet. day program until 6 th grade....then nothing. I went every year for my Daughter and Son, then nada. We make a big deal outa Memorial Day and the 4 th but seem to slide over V day. The banks close, not mail today, but not much more. I walked over to the memorial park after work and there were about 2 dozen people around the main flag, but no roads closed or much hoopla. I looked at my name in the Desert Storm memorial , and hoped that's the only place I ever see my name carved in stone. I miss my lost "Brothers in Arms" So tonite I'm drinking a beer for friends who can't join me. Not to many people even understood why I wore the red white and blue, today.

I would like to say Thank You to everyone who offered recognition to our veterans. To this, I would like to offer my own Thank You to my brothers in arms. I will also offer one remembrance. When the POWs were returning to the United States in 1973 I was stationed at Miramar, CA. I was new in the Navy and stationed at one of the fighter squadrons. I was chosen to be on the Honor Guard for the returning POWs. I remember standing there watching the planes land and seeing all the men leave the planes. All of them standing as tall as they could and saluting as they came down the staircases that were rolled out to the planes. I couldn't then and still don't fully know what they went through or how they survived. All I know is that it was an honor for me to be there to welcome them home.

@2legsshrt ... so what is it w/ people out in your neck of the woods. Just saw a news article that the students at Seattle Pacific University could not 'present' the colors or say the pledge of alligence during a veteran's day program in a university church because "there is diversity of views on campus' over doing it. What the heck!

I can't even put into words how I've been feeling this Veterans Day. The celebrations and appreciation for all our military always warms my heart and I truly am so grateful to all our men and women who have served. Most recently though my thoughts are heavy, having lost our son-in-law in a helo crash 8 years ago. Our daughter is now engaged to another helo pilot. His birthday is tomorrow and he will be leaving for Afghanistan tomorrow afternoon. Please keep him in your prayers.

Although i was in the air force, i dont really consider myself a vet because all i did was push paper...

Any one that took that oath, lived up to it regardless of where on this globe and was honorably discharged or interred is an American VET! PLEASE don't ever forget it!!

Deba nailed it!

My various yearly traditional trips really have devolved into more and more crowded and commercialized activities .. it seems to me that once the populace at large begins to latch on to things, they begin to ruin it for those that did it before it became fashionable .. once again, I'm sure my age is showing ..

Amen, my brother...

I sometimes have the same feelings as a peace time veteran, and one who wasn't in very long, so I do understand, but service is service. You signed your name on the same dotted line, and took the same oath, and anything could have broken out anywhere at anytime and you'd have been called up. ALL service is valuable whether pushing papers or on the front lines!! those on the front lines don't have things they need without folks pushing papers to get it to them! I've always said we have the greatest fighting force in the world, go in, do the job, get out......but put a piece of paper in front of em, the whole thing can come to a screeching halt!(said somewhat tongue in cheek) So those who push those papers well and get em through correctly do something amazing!

the hardest thing I ever did in my life was send my son to Iraq. The sacrifice that families make and the support they give our soldiers should never be overlooked or underestimated!

Amen and amen and thank you...

Waited until the end of the day to post my wishes for a happy Veteran's Day to our beloved Military Porchers. My undying, everlasting gratitude to each of you. May you path ahead be that much more filled with rewards because of the path you chose to travel. May the service you receive always out shine the service you rendered. And may your days & nights be filled with sweet dreams & beautiful memories to eclipse any lack of peace you may have experienced in order to provide for me & mine. I sincerely love & respect you all.

Sweetest Kenna,

That is the most precious message I've read today!

I 'guested' with 'hands on' demos for two of my oldest G-sons classes for Veterans Day back in their first three years in school. Now, that system doesn't celebrate with that opportunity.

Actually, I truly wish it would have occurred in their and their classmates middle school years. Regardless, the winds have changed since 9/11, albeit with Willie's observation.

I miss my lost "Brothers in Arms" So tonite I'm drinking a beer for friends who can't join me. Not to many people even understood why I wore the red white and blue, today.

I got the same type homecoming you did..........that is something that I have never been able to put behind me, along with the draft dodgers & Hanoi Jane.

Here is where I woefully fail in my belief in self freedom through forgiveness! I'll go to my grave with those resentments in my heart and soul...

As I've said before, I bleed and weep USofA red, white and blue!
