Whether the terrorists were foreign or domestic is irrelevant, the policy of appeasement and the fear of the perception of anti islam has contributed to the view that france is an easy target. Im just saying that the french government could have nipped this kind of thing in the bud early.

I agree.

Well, from what I understand, France is highly capable to thwart terrorism. Thing is, how do you stop something like this? The only thing preventing this from happening here (so far) is an ocean. Over there they can just walk to their target.
Killing them won't help. Simply because it's really impossible to get them all. The only way to fight it is to change their mentality. Which is pretty much impossible as well.

Maybe it is time to turn Mecca into Dresden.:-x
Nah. That would just unite them into an army we do not want to have to deal with. Just bomb the crap outta ISIS. I also don't see how we are going to avoid boots on the ground. And we don't have time to wait for a new president.

Unfortunately, the belief that something could have been done does not provide any help determining WHAT could have been done. Some simplify the problem by calling terrorism the result of appeasement when Democrats are in office, never mind the fact that going to war under Republicans has likewise not stopped terrorism.

Personally, I blame the terrorists. There are no simple solutions, but one thing that must be done is a massive social media pushback to match and counter the sophisticated networks that terrorist groups have in place.

Holy crud you got a Liter of flavoring?? Awesome!!
Nah, it's final mix. Made it before we went to Florida about 4 or 5 months ago so I wouldn't have to deal with hauling all my mixing stuff with me. Got about a little under half left.

And i DON'T see our current administration doing anything more than borrowing money to send to france to hire grief councilors and community organizers, then launching an in depth investigation to determine what france did to anger the islamics and how it should apologize.

But thats just my opinion, i could be wrong.

First you say bombing won't work, then you say bomb ISIS. That would work if they'd kindly congregate in one place, as armies tended to do in centuries past before the existence of airplanes and long range weapons.

I think you ought to wait and see where the terrorists in France came from before jumping on the easy-blame bandwagon and passing judgement on France's immigration policies. The terrorists in the January attack on the satire magazine were home-grown.
It makes zero difference where they were "grown". Terrorism is terrorism, & France & the rest of the world has backed down & failed to continue to fight it. Anyone who didn't see this coming is willfully blind. We are fortunate it hasn't happened here. AGAIN. And nothing was said here about immigration, nationalities, or race, so burn that strawman.

News media makes it worse. 24/7 reporting on how horrible it is just makes the animals gloat. Calling them terrorists makes them proud. Calling them cowards makes them laugh.
Why not call it like it is. Fools, ignorant, un-educated, naive, stupid, silly, whatever.

If you look at Russell's post that started the music that made a bunch of you jump on the bandwagon, you'll see that the very first thing he mentions is France's acceptance of immigrants from the Middle East.

What country suffered the worst terrorist attack so far? Does it make sense to blame other countries when terrorist atrocities take place within their borders?
