Trying to not show Doree the worry but, this is what killed my grandmother and she was in a lot better shape than Doree's mom. A LOT better.

It looks like I won't be joining the Thanksgiving morning coffee and donut hangout. Doree's mother is in the hospital with a deep vein thrombosis blood clot in her right leg. We don't know how bad or which part of the leg. If upper it could lead to a pulmonary embolism. We are probably going down to Deerfield Beach. If possible we will drive down on Thanksgiving day as the traffic should be virtually non existent. She is old with alzheimer's and extremely frail. The movw can wait, I would die before letting Doree miss seeing her mother should the worst occur. Prayer is requested. She's the last living parent in our family.

Oh Matt, I hope everything is OK. Drive safe, and give each other (Doree and you) a {{{hug}}} for me. Prayers.....

ETA: I will attempt to pop into the hangout; son and his family coming, hubby going to get his mother to attend. I will be cooking up a storm, but should have a few minutes to pop in. My laptop is in the kitchen....

Pretty much a good summation, just add during the Macy's Parade .. we're doing this one as an intro .. next round, you'll have to get past the Velvet Rope (did I just say Velvet Rope .. ?? ) .. .. can someone wear just a Velvet Rope .. ??

I can figure out something to do with the velvet rope...wonder if with a couple of ceiling hooks it could be used as a trapeze.

It won't be. Doree's mom has deep vein thrombosis in her right leg and is headed to the emergency room and will be checked. Into the hospital. We are probably leaving Thanksgiving Day as it's the best travel day. We are planning on staying a month and maybe a little bit. Then back up here. Nobody is going to even look at a home during the holidays anyway. The time in Deerfield Beach won't be wasted. Got plenty to do there getting ready to move in. When I was venting the other day i forgot to mention that as well. It's just piling on. Prayers needed.

My prayer is that you learn to worry less, my friend Matt. Worry makes it even harder to get things done, which tends to increase one's worries. That's a vicious cycle if there ever was one. Letting yourself off the hook some is hard, but not as hard as keeping up the pressure on yourself. I hope you can find some meaning in what I'm saying, but if not, don't worry about it!

I only skimmed the past 10 pages. I just cannot seem to keep up here.

Today, I took off work so I could get the car tires looked at. Good thing I did because it took 5 hours.
ball joints and joint rods - shot
2 brakes - shot
total for these and all the other things... over $1400
being able to drive to my Parent's for Thanksgiving tomorrow evening without the car causing an accident... priceless.

Well, its light jacket weather here in the north dallas area, temps dropping down into the upper 50s. Due to the great windbreaker shortage of last spring, dozens of not more will be forced to suffer with nothing more than a long sleeve shirt. Humanitarian efforts are on the way.

The carnage among our deciduous trees has been apalling, many of the leaves are beginning to turn brown, and i swear i saw as many as 3 in the pool.

Rain is predicted for the thanksgiving holiday, threatening to severly limit the black thursday shopping crowds, plans are in place to move "black friday" to the monday prior to thanksgiving day to avoid this calamity, and talks are in starting to discuss moving it to labor day.
