Bacon ... what could be wrong w/ bacon jam, it has bacon in it.
OK ... I did find something I didn't like bacon w/ ... pizza ... had a bacon topping on pizza once and didn't like it.
hmmm more air than a Protank with Air Flow Control might be a problem for her. I did not think most tootle puffers like much air and I do not think she does.As Robert says, you can close it down enough for most tootlers, although it will still be more air than a PT2 (even if your friend has AFC bases on those!)
The OCC heads are easier to rebuild than PTs - same principle but bigger- and the rba head comes with it. Both good for "future-proofing" should they ever want to go there.
The latest air flow device on the subtank is for Tootle Puffers. It has a wide open selection and if you go to the right you get a fairly tight air flow too tight for me and if you go to the left real tight air flow. This is their very latest change. Evidently they did it to make the Tootle Puffers happy but to me it kind of defeats the whole purpose to me. What I have to do to get the same as the middle selection is turn it so one of the small holes is open and part of the wide open is open. I really liked the middle selection they had can't figure why they made it so tight. Now this is the very latest just came out. I got one when I ordered one more extra air flow. I'm glad I only have one. So for sub ohmers you have one choice wide open for TC you have to fiddle with it a little to get it just right. But like I say for Tootle Puffing it is set up well.Kanger Subtank Mini. You can build or not with it. I would say to start with a 1.2 ohm coil at about 10-12 watts. Good selection of coils available for it.
Simple design and reliable with good adjustable airflow. You friend might want to use a smaller bore driptip on it though when starting out with it. I did.
Sounds YUMMY to me.

What about a Nautilus ... I've never used a Protank so don't know if its an 'upgrade' from one. But it's uses replaceable coils, comes in 2 sizes, and the larger size had an optional 'caged tank' that many people like.
Only big other issue is whether the mod in question needs flat or button, or can use either.
There are 1.2 ohm coils available for it. SO it does not have to be sub ohm.For some reason I thought the Sub tank was for sub ohming?
I never had a Nautilus but it sort of seemed like Protanks and Nautilus are equivalent. They came out around the same time and one was either in the Protank camp or the Nautilus camp. Soooo much truth there, Legs! That you for sharing that!I feel the same way Kenna. We'll all be there someday unless we are lucky enough to just go in our sleep. That's what I'm hoping for. It's still Mom in there. Reminds me of this that I read I believe on here a long time ago I think I don't really remember.
Cranky Old Man
What do you see nurses? . . .. . .What do you see?
What are you thinking .. . when you're looking at me?
A cranky old man, . . . . . .not very wise,
Uncertain of habit .. . . . . . . .. with faraway eyes?
Who dribbles his food .. . ... . . and makes no reply.
When you say in a loud voice . .'I do wish you'd try!'
Who seems not to notice . . .the things that you do.
And forever is losing . . . . . .. . . A sock or shoe?
Who, resisting or not . . . ... lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding . . . .The long day to fill?
Is that what you're thinking?. .Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse .you're not looking at me.
I'll tell you who I am . . . . .. As I sit here so still,
As I do at your bidding, .. . . . as I eat at your will.
I'm a small child of Ten . .with a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters .. . . .. . who love one another
A young boy of Sixteen . . . .. with wings on his feet
Dreaming that soon now . . .. . . a lover he'll meet.
A groom soon at Twenty . . . ..my heart gives a leap.
Remembering, the vows .. .. .that I promised to keep.
At Twenty-Five, now . . . . .I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide . . . And a secure happy home.
A man of Thirty . .. . . . . My young now grown fast,
Bound to each other . . .. With ties that should last.
At Forty, my young sons .. .have grown and are gone,
But my woman is beside me . . to see I don't mourn.
At Fifty, once more, .. ...Babies play 'round my knee,
Again, we know children . . . . My loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me . . . . My wife is now dead.
I look at the future ... . . . . I shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing .. . . young of their own.
And I think of the years . . . And the love that I've known.
I'm now an old man . . . . . . .. and nature is cruel.
It's jest to make old age . . . . . . . look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles .. .. . grace and vigor, depart.
There is now a stone . . . where I once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass . A young man still dwells,
And now and again . . . . . my battered heart swells
I remember the joys . . . . .. . I remember the pain.
And I'm loving and living . . . . . . . life over again.
I think of the years, all too few . . .. gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact . . . that nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people .. . . . .. . . open and see.
Not a cranky old man .
Look closer . . . . see .. .. . .. .... . ME!!

I wondered that myself. All the info pages are showing flat head so I ordered a couple. If that doesn't work out I'll order something else.
I never had a Nautilus but it sort of seemed like Protanks and Nautilus are equivalent. They came out around the same time and one was either in the Protank camp or the Nautilus camp. Seems so many newer better things came out since then but maybe not so much for Tootle Puffers
Protank, Davide, Evod all came out months before the Nautilus. I gave them all away. One advantage with the Nautilus is a sealed 510 post.......I don't have to be continuously swabbing out the 510 connection on my modsI never had a Nautilus but it sort of seemed like Protanks and Nautilus are equivalent. I think the quit making the 1.2's and replaced them with 1.5's they still have the .5. There are still some 1.2's to be had out there tho I have a ton. Same with the .5's never used them. Well once. So I have 12 of each I think. STM is my only tanks I have any more. Great for everything from subohming to TC to Tootle Puffing. Must be more of the latter then I thought because of their changes. Going for another market all the TCers have em and they never seem to break so they needed a new client base. There are 1.2 ohm coils available for it. SO it does not have to be sub ohm.
Plus they are purdy with the metal tank on an Istick 40.Protank, Davide, Evod all came out months before the Nautilus. I gave them all away. One advantage with the Nautilus is a sealed 510 post.......I don't have to be continuously swabbing out the 510 connection on my mods
I was like a little kid at mass this morning, had to focus on why I was there, yep that's the real reason. But still, I just wanted to get home and see Miles's reaction to his new toys and the looks on our children faces when they opened their gifts. I still believe.
Yeah, no bacon on my pizza, either.
And no bacon joose, either!
Man you and me and Matt should get together we could hold each other up.Wow, Russell, that's a glow in the dark shiner! So glad you didn't crack your skull!
The V2 Sub Tank MIni's will go tight Well I compared a Protank mini, Evod and T3s and it would go as tight as any of them and tighter than the T3s. The smallest air hole is well under 1/16 inch. Looks to be 1 mm? It is smaller than the 510 pin hole in a protank. there are 2 of them though but the draw is still tight.hmmm more air than a Protank with Air Flow Control might be a problem for her. Nope still 1.2, 1.5 and .5 but all now are vertical coil.+
