Sad subject of the day for those of us on SS... The cost of living just keeps on increasing while...at the end of 2015 there was no COLA, at the end of 2016, they gave us a small one, but with the increased cost of medicare, I get $17 less each month...:( Just got the letter yesterday with the new COLA...Whoopee..NOT...after medicare costs, I get a whole big $6 a month more over this year!! If they should decide to grace us with an even bigger one next year, will I have attained the amount I received three years ago? Sad that what they give us as a supposed COLA doesn't even help to maintain status quo....:(

Okay...rant over....just sad....
It's just as bad this side of the pond, except we get ours at the start of the Tax year which is at the beginning of April, those of us that have a company pension are a little bit better off, and of course our struggling NHS is free, as are medications when you get older

Well appt at Cyberknife went well. I took a xanax and was able to lay perfectly still while breathing normally and they were able to get the computer locked in, so no need of pellets. Ginny snapped some pics so you could see my resting place

And this was in my final position for 1 hour. The machine in the back comes out and aims the radiation at exact locations and moves around you to different spots. I start Dec 26th then every other day for 5 sessions with a break at New Years. Oh and the light on the ceiling is a picture of trees lit up.

That seems to be a good board. The reason for the weird placement of the buttons is because it was designed for a joystick. I think that is the same board as in my G class. Works good on TC. OOps mine has the 550 not the 500 should be just as good tho. Thats the funny thing about YiHi is they don't usually offer the exact same board that they put in their mods till further down the road. I'm pretty sure it is the same board tho because it has some of the same wallpapers plus you should be able to add your own. I watched the review on it by Busardo. I'm always interested when they have a YiHi board in them. I love em myself. So much easier to adjust things then the dna but the dna's have their really good points also. I would like to have one with the new 75C board. Big BoyZ and their ToyZ

Jeez there was a guy in there when we got there so I asked him some questions, he was in his 60s and his dad was getting a treatment to see if there was anything they could do but it was too late, the poor guy isn't supposed to last over a couple more days. They live a long ways away and he took him directly to Hospice. He had to be in his 90s and didn't look good at all. I felt so bad for him. The son did say he had a friend who went though this also and had no side effects and they got everything fixed for him. His son was going to stay at a Hotel in town till it was over. They live a couple hundred miles away. I'm lucky that they have one here at home.

Despite my professional training, I ended up with minimal Social Security benefits. With supplemental government programs, I have everything I need, but very little that I want. My daughter is in California, my son is in Missouri, and I don't have enough money to go see them, and neither do they have money to burn on travel. My sister who lives in-state rarely comes to see me. Despite friendships I have developed here, there is a loneliness in what could have been. My kids are in their late 20's, and I have told them to not marry until they are ready, so no grandchildren yet. My medical problems the past six months have burned up the small financial cushion I had left, and don't even get me started on that.

But I have food, the medical care I need, a roof over my head, heat, clothing, and faith. Gratitude for what I do have.

I did want to say something. There are so many out there that are scamming Medicare and SS, if they went after them with the cuts that are supposedly going to happen because of our HUGE tax cut,a tax cut like we have never seen before. People who have not contributed anything but think America owes them a living.
Then there are people like you that worked all your life served your country and get a $6 raise. It's just not fair. I've seen people that are total bums always have been and are mad because they aren't getting a bigger raise.
I hate the fact that one of the good guys on the hill is resigning because of stuff he did while he was a comedian, meanwhile we have the worst one still there.
I think the plan is to starve out the old the sick and the poor and keep it all for themselves, while sucking America dry with their enormous salaries and working till they're in there 80s. Most of us couldn't do what we did all our lives till we were in our 80s we don't have that cushy a job, with more time off then at work. Even the RR forces retirement at 70.
This is how we are going to make America great again???? I sure wish Al Franken wasn't resigning, he was actually on the side of the people. It's pretty ironic in my eyes.
I count my blessings everyday for being born and living in this great country and growing up when I did. But what are we going to leave for our kids and grandkids
I would dearly love to respond in kind, but i find that people whose opinions are that deeply set are not interested in civil discourse, and merely want to spew their opinions at everyone. Looks like i need to duck my head under for a while again, lest i get carried away.

We all have our opinion about why the country is in the state it is in and how to fix it. We may all be wrong. Both sides of the aisle are at fault, thats why we cant let our opinions ruin friendships.

I agree. Who really knows anymore. I just see things happening that don't seem right and I'm off and running. I know better neither side is willing to see the others and so it goes. I don't mean to push the things I think on people here just as you don't so I won't. I think everyone knows what I think anyway.
So is that one of those ceramic coils. Does it have any kind of taste to it. Always wondered about that as I sit here with my new roll of 100' of SS316L.
How do you like the vboy. should be really good on TC.

It is a ceramic wafer, and it tastes good, ideal for fumbling hands.
The vboy is nice, dont do tc, so i dont know how good that part is, but it has a nice feel to it.
