Thanks for the prayers today! 2 fails on the right arm, finally told them to go ahead h use the left arm. Worked like magic! But not supposed to use the left side. Bummer. At least I got it. Now I have 4 months to figure out what to do since it looks like infudions have to go away.

How come the infusions go away, cause its so hard to find a vein? Man it would probably be a beach if you had to have a central line I think its called. Well I'm glad you got er done today. Must be a relief.

That's why. I have 1 arm they can give then in. And the veins have been user for all iv things for 20 years. When I had the colonectomy in 2010 i spent a month in the hospital & they fried those veins with phentergen. Not supposef to use the other arm because of an arterial blockage on that side. They won't do a port.

{{{Kenna}}} Why do they have to go away? Why can't they use your right arm, veins too shot? Why aren't they supposed to use your left arm? Sorry for so many questions, but I'm confused and worried.

Sorry, I should have refreshed and continued reading before I posted.

My clinic always goes for the back of my hand now. Makes it difficult to use the bathroom some tho. It is their preferred place to insert usually. If I push them to use my arm, the have to make multiple tries. Not worth it being a needle phobe.

My right hand is deformed & the veins are short, tiny, packed with ports, & squiggly because they don't lay right. Left side is beautiful, but it's a nono.

How about a leg vein? The back of the knee is analogous to the crook of the elbow.

But then there'd be no babies.
I started roaming around the internet on the topic of eggs. And found this hilarious series of videos.

He is totally uninhibited with his failures.

Here is the simple way to do it.

They don't do those. They are set up with recliners in a big room the Dr's office. They are discontinuing the contract with the outside infusion company & going inhouse again. That's what they did when I first started with this Dr in about 2001.

I don't think it's possible. It's not the kind of thing they can do this with. We just have to find another drug that doesn't get infused. That I can afford.

You know, road trips are a blast - get to meet up with good friends and family, you sure enjoy the company, but not the driving...
I've stopped enjoying driving a few years ago, especially since most of our trips were 800 miles or longer. even with overnight stops......by the time we got there I needed at least a couple of days to unwind.

It's great that you take the time to do that...
    ^^^^^^^

You are right. I have one that I took at one strength and it made me sick to my stomach, bad headaches, then I got a little higher strength and they were just fine but the inert ingredients make a big diff. My pharmacist always tries to get me the same brand but it is getting tough for him to do because the corporate office is on his back to order the cheapest. I actually was getting some made in America and they worked like they were suppose to and I was even able to back off some, then I got another brand from India and 2 of them didn't work as good as 1 1/2 of the others but at least no bad side effects from the fillers. They are allowed a 25% variation in strength and they all use different fillers. You would think that the American companies would bring their prices down to match the foreign ones because they are losing money at least with insurance especially medicare, they pay them according to the cheapest one available so they can't get the American ones or they would lose money. My pharmacy even showed me their cost on one med for the different brands and what the insurance paid to show me why they can't get the brand I had been on for a few years. They were losing like $25 a month on them and the head office came down on them. So they had to go to a foreign one.
I was scripted Lamictal years ago and used it for quite a long while, I then had to re-new and they accidentally sent me the generic.......well, the generic surprisingly worked better, and have been using it ever since. Goodness know what fillers or whatever was in the brand name, but I'm glad it turned out the way it did.
Well, I have an appt tomorrow morning to try to get the 2nd part of this set of infusions. Got the first one with no problems on the 9th. Was supposed yo get the 2nd one 2 weeks later. No veins after 4 tries, so rescheduled for 2 days later. The was the day after Mom came home. I was fighting allergies & Mom was being helpless so anxieties kicked in & I didn't even go try. Rescheduled for 3rd try tomorrow. Nephew will be here with Mom h her Home Health helper & OT will be here. Prayers will be much appreciated.

Hope they find a viable option in the next 4 months!!!

In other news! And, because I have some free time!

    Home alone!!!

Kids went to my son's house to stay with the granbabies, hubby went bowling........yes, bowling..........doc's office called and said Peter's numbers have improved expotentially!! We go tomorrow for a 'limited echo' and am really curious about that......
    Will keep you upadated.
Oh, and I developed a case of 'pink eye'.........staying far away from everyone and sanitizing, sanitizing, and more sanitizing. I didn't realize how much affection is shared during the day until we can't share.......no way I can get close to him! He doesn't need an eye issue on top of everything else.

Eww, I can't stand that stuff. Only had it once in my life (knocking on wood now) and once was once to many times. Several years back they had it real bad on the AF base and they had to set up tents outside the hospital to treat it so as not to infect the whole hospital...
