Well that was a fun afternoon. Went to the Cyberknife to see if they could get it locked in, laid there for about 50min trying to lay perfectly still and breathing normally, trying not to cough with my arms gently strapped to my side. They got it about 80-90% have to go back Thursday and they are going to try another way. They think they can do it without the pellets. Will know Thursday. Man it's hard laying there without coughing. Coughed up quite a bit of blood today. Hoping it is the infection coming out.I can tell this is not going to be a fun procedure. Met a really nice lady that was a volunteer there, shes a breast cancer survivor probably close to 70, so that part was nice.

Eww, I can't stand that stuff. Only had it once in my life (knocking on wood now) and once was once to many times. Several years back they had it real bad on the AF base and they had to set up tents outside the hospital to treat it so as not to infect the whole hospital...
Oh, it's nasty!!! Ophthalmologist says there have been several hundred cases reported in our town and there were three patients ahead of me all of whom has it.

Only problem is if they are childproof I have found they are usually senior proof as an extra bonus.
Jup!

My clinic always goes for the back of my hand now. Makes it difficult to use the bathroom some tho. It is their preferred place to insert usually. If I push them to use my arm, the have to make multiple tries. Not worth it being a needle phobe.
same here. I'm not a needle phobe at all, but they've been using the back of my hand since I was a teenager. I used to be a super easy stick there, but now the veins aren't as good as they used to be.

We'll discuss it at my next appointment.

Really hope they can find a way to do the infusion, or come up with something just as well, or better.

hubby went bowling........yes, bowling..........doc's office called and said Peter's numbers have improved expotentially!!
Wow! That's so fantastic to hear!! Sorry you have pink eye though. Hope that goes away quickly.

Really hope they can get it done perfectly, and figure out why you're coughing up so much blood.

Now thats great news. The best I've heard lately. All of the crap that is going on now days I try to avoid national news at all costs. I have enough problems. I just have to face that whatever happens is whatever happens. I have no control over anything that is not in arms reach. That is really good about Peter. Is he starting to perk up some?

Had to cut my nic back to 3mg. Still have 12 in my Kabuki for emergencies but my lungs couldn't handle the nic. Cut my flavoring in the BooBerry by 1/2 and even though it's only been steeping for 12 days it tastes just fine plus at about 60pg/40vg much better then the store bought at 90vg/10pg. Was just getting too much stuff. Liking these attys better this way. I think the Ares would be much easier to build tho. Going to try the old bend and pull method to get the tails short enough. Wicking is easy but you do get small amounts of juice dropping on to the air diffuser coming out the air holes. The Ares has all that covered but I got a heck of a deal on these Siren 2's and they work very well. Only other thing I noticed if the coil just gets slightly gunky you need to burn it off. I think the Ares would be an excellent choice for tootle puffers like I have turned into. The Kabuki as well but went to FT and most models have been discontinued. I really like those except for the fact you have to have a tool to adjust the AF, don't like that. The Nauty heads get tighter the longer you use them and have to re adjust. Busardo is right tho the Nauty 1.6ohm heads are one of the greatest inventions to come out even tho they are 4 years old. Got my real ones and what a diff.
If I could rebuild the Kabuki it would be perfect but don't like pay $2 for each head, still pretty darned easy.

I've stopped enjoying driving a few years ago, especially since most of our trips were 800 miles or longer. even with overnight stops......by the time we got there I needed at least a couple of days to unwind.

^^^^^^^

I was scripted Lamictal years ago and used it for quite a long while, I then had to re-new and they accidentally sent me the generic.......well, the generic surprisingly worked better, and have been using it ever since. Goodness know what fillers or whatever was in the brand name, but I'm glad it turned out the way it did.
Read your succeeding posts, and sure am sorry this didn't go an easier route.

Who, you?!?!? Nah, never!!! :)

Hope they find a viable option in the next 4 months!!!

In other news! And, because I have some free time!

Home alone!!!

Kids went to my son's house to stay with the granbabies, hubby went bowling........yes, bowling..........doc's office called and said Peter's numbers have improved expotentially!! We go tomorrow for a 'limited echo' and am really curious about that......
Will keep you upadated.
Oh, and I developed a case of 'pink eye'.........staying far away from everyone and sanitizing, sanitizing, and more sanitizing. I didn't realize how much affection is shared during the day until we can't share.......no way I can get close to him! He doesn't need an eye issue on top of everything else.
TY, FS! It will work out. It's wonderful that Peter is doing so well! Sorry you are dealing with pink eye. Yuck!

I feel like I am trying to come down with a cold or something. Doc went good she thinks the blood is from the nodule not the infection. The infection that I got grows in the dirt outside. Weird. I gained 3.5 pounds that is good. They had a real flunky for a PA today her regular one decided she wants to be a vet when she grows up or thats what the doc said. The one she had was about 25, she got a chance to work at a vets office as something and she took it. This flunky today took my BP and said it was 128/82. My bottom number has never been above 60 and thats after walking a ways, at least since my heart surgery. I hate it when they take your BP though your sweatshirt. This guy was a floater they said. No wonder if I do come down with a cold or something being in all these doctors offices. Back to Cyberknife tomorrow so they can make another attempt at getting the machine zoned in. Another hour laying strapped down, its kind of a weird feeling when everyone goes out and this 10" thick door automatically closes behind them. No one talks to you and apparently they can't hear you very good because yesterday I had to clear my throat and I was practically yelling that I needed to before someone finally came in and let me. You just lay there and the taable moves a little different directions and up and down.

Well, I was going to come in here and say that another beautiful day was about us, but the weather is definitely not beautiful - chilly, windy, and wet for the next several days - winter is definitely trying to speak up.

I am trying to get my lights out, may not get the outside done until Saturday. I am surrounded by lit up houses - some of my neighbors have really outdone themselves - my house looks like a dark dungeon next to theirs - I might have to break out some extra lights this year just to keep up a little... Ain't going to try to compete at their level of decs, just don't want my house to look like scrooge lives there...

Sad subject of the day for those of us on SS... The cost of living just keeps on increasing while...at the end of 2015 there was no COLA, at the end of 2016, they gave us a small one, but with the increased cost of medicare, I get $17 less each month...:( Just got the letter yesterday with the new COLA...Whoopee..NOT...after medicare costs, I get a whole big $6 a month more over this year!! If they should decide to grace us with an even bigger one next year, will I have attained the amount I received three years ago? Sad that what they give us as a supposed COLA doesn't even help to maintain status quo....:(

Okay...rant over....just sad....

We've had Miles for 3 days. So last night we took him to a nearby street where 2 houses are all decked out in lights. Tune in to a radio station and the lights are in sync with the Christmas music. Miles has never seen anything like it. Kept saying, "Look at that!!" It was great. I see those displays and while I'm enjoying them can't help but think about the chore it's going to be to put it all away!

This morning it sounded like Miles was waking up at 4:15 and by the time he settled down I couldn't get back to sleep. At 5:45 I came down to catch up on some emails and 6:45 Miles was up for the day. Thought since we put him down late he'd sleep in... Good thing we take him home in a little while. We'll go pick up Baby Beckett and take them both home. Pizza for dinner and then we'll head home as soon as the Momma gets home from work. This has been a most glorious 3 days with Miles Man, but we're whooped. He's speaking in sentences now - some of which we actually understand! He's a riot. 3 year olds are the funniest age I think.
