Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Seven

Do any of you guys use an app called Nextdoor. We have it here in our not so little bedroom community. When we first move up here 17 years ago it was all houses like our, in the lower middle class type of place. Well now we have houses up here that go for $400-500K. They really get into some nasty fights on there. The 2 biggest subjects lately are 1 about opening up a weed store up here and the other about them wanting to build some 4 plexes up here. I stay out of those cause I don't want to get into something with my neighbors there, but it is really kind of comical. It is a good place to find people who do different services, thats where I found someone who will come over and snowblow our driveway and sidewalk, but the bickering is pretty funny.

Its also a good way to sell stuff, like a huge garage sale

I have a niece and a nephew that are a couple years older than me.

We got a thing in the mail about it awhile back, but didn't really look into it. I'd wondered about it, it's a shame to hear even neighbors are bickering so much on there.

oh........well that stinks. Figures though, it's always all about the money and how they can mess the little guy outta more of it.


They either are crooked, turn crooked, or.......if you can manage to find one that stays honest, someone will cook up rumors about em to get rid of em. Can't have a moral honest person gittin in their way.


We have the same, but it's always at the bottom from puppy paws and noses.


Most of us still inhale that stuff, but glad you were able to give up flavors and nic.

I had to go to my pcp the other day to followup on this bp med. Told her I had been fighting this head coldn with it itchyn runny, stuffy nose thing. She asked me about my breathing, listened to my chest, listened somemore. I told her it had not gone to my chest at all. No wheezing or coughing at all. I told her that this is the first time I have not had bronchitis develop within a day or having an allergy attack or cold & that I credit the pg in the solution that I vape with keeping it out of my chest. She said she was shocked every year when I don't come in with bronchitis. Told her I just haven't had it since I swiitched from smoking to vaping. Maybe I need to exhale thru my nose? We talked a little anout the changes I've seen h how long it took to happen. She's just happy I don't smoke & in seeing so much improvement.

For those of you who are up north or just generally cold, thought i would show you my workplace, we are currently burning 4 of the 5 fireplaces with the good ceramic logs, pretty toasty.

Don't know if I'll use them or not since the plumber I know usually comes up and does it for free but if he's really busy sometimes he can't and he doesn't do a fantastic job, but it gets done. I've tried to pay him before and he says nah, you see what kind of work I do I wouldn't charge for that and laughs. The other ones want $60 plus he's a great plumber and always use him for that and he's fair on his prices. I like to use things locally if I can. Alway hear about lost or found animals or something strange happening in certain area of the neighborhood.

Yes, we participate in that site for our neighborhood. Haven't seen any bickering and it's been a great source for info and help. I guess it depends on who is participating in your area. Just ignore the bickering ones.

Nicest thing about winter in Florida. 80 degrees, yes but the humidity it down. Much different than 80 degrees and 99% humidity. It's a dry heat

Just wrapped up the AKC National Championships show. Best show in our 21 year history of dog shows! Exhausted, but Happy. Now we just want to hide from the public for a few weeks. Gawd, ya can't fix stupid!

Collars, show a picture of your dog on your phone... What size do I need? I want such amd such color - we only have these colors. I want this color! What part of "we don't have that color" do you not understand? I could go on but you get the picture. Geesh!

The problem with dealing with the public is, well, the PUBLIC!

But I AM going to get "new" (used) wheels!

No I'm not going to put it here.
I got a letter from the President of our Union that I belonged to for 36 years and it was not good news for anyone who gets laid off or extended sickness to help pay for the tax bill. This is a big union part of the Teamsters.

Oh boy we are looking at High of 14 Low of 3 on Christmas Day. I gotta get the Ford back home tomorrow before they tow it away. They are still putting it inside at night but supposed to be 40 with rain tomorrow.
