I've got friends that span the political spectrum from peace, love, and kum-by-ya liberals to red neck truck drivers. When I get messages or emails from them about some 'topic' my 1st reaction is to 'google' it to find out if it's pure fake, or coming from an utterly biased source before even reading it. If it fits one of those 2 categories, to the trash can it goes w/o reading it.

That's what I do too. And I find it very surprising that some of my friends believe some of the things they read and worse, pass them on without investigating further.

I agree. It drives me nuts when I write back to them with a link showing that it's a hoax or whatever and some actually get mad at me! And do they ever let all the people know they sent the bogus article to?

Repeated for its importance. One reason why we have to guard ourselves against intrusions on our own belief systems. Sometimes they have no comfort unless it is by forcing themselves on others.
