And this :)

Wow! It's a shame there isn't an "amazing" button! That egg looks so delicate I'd be afraid to look at it too hard!

Yep, bigger eggs for a bigger canvas :)

The ones they only paint are pretty awesome, too.
Thicker shells make opportunities for intaglio. Yes, the painted ones can be just as good as the carved ones.

We have fun watching them. Especially when they see their purple treat tray. They know they're about to get goodies. They are very fond of cooked oatmeal, shredded carrots and green peas. But the ultimate trat is a wedge of melon.
Yes, she gave hers those things.

Beans, beans, they're good for your heart. I really enjoy them.

3 years ago I'd never cooked dried beans, but now I hardly ever buy canned beans. The exception that proves the rule is the S&W canned black beans I bought at Costco less than a month ago. They're very delicious. Due to the rich taste, I'd never have guessed that the only ingredients are organic black beans, water and some sea salt.

My house (a double wide mobile home that's in 9 out of every 10 of my quad copter videos and therefore familiar to some of you), has a side door that was pathetically flimsy even when it was brand new. It's basically two thin sheets of styrofoam enclosing a solid air core, then covered in aluminum foil. Now 25 years old, it has about 2% of "not much to begin with" remaining.

So yesterday I bought a new door assembly, which includes a much more substantial door, the frame and the storm/screen door all as one unit. Removing and replacing the existing door by myself is in neither my comfort nor my experience zone. However, before I went and got the new assembly, I pre-arranged with a neighbor for him to help me with the project.

The only problem is that this neighbor was runner-up for Procrastinator of the Year. He would have won if not for the fact that I was also in the contest.

But it looks pretty nice laying in that trailer ... shame to disturb it.

After a trip to the dictionary, I agree!

But it looks pretty nice laying in that trailer ... shame to disturb it.
The guy at the warehouse who helped me load it onto the trailer got some big, thick paper bags to provide a cushion between the door and the metal grate floor of the trailer. "To keep it from getting scratched up", he said. "Yes, that will have to wait until I install it", said I.

At least you have step one completed :)
A few hours after taking the picture, I also completed steps two and three. Two, backing the trailer under the carport to protect the door from the elements and three, disconnecting the trailer from the vehicle. Step four will have to wait until I have girded myself against the possibility of disappointment: measuring the multitude of widths, heights and depths to ensure that the new unit and the old unit are close enough in size to avoid turning a big job into a major job.

This afternoon...in the midst of fighting with my PC...UPS delivered 2 small boxes to my front stoop. My dutiful little dog alerted me and I went straight to pick them up, and...just as I opened the door, a small pickup, with a bed full of small partially opened boxes, pulled in behind the UPS truck and directly in front of my door. Nothing strange about people parking on the street EXCEPT....nobody ever parks there. This street is devoid of any cars parking out front of this building with the rare exception of one of the guys upstairs, or somebody delivering. or picking up, a pooch at the groomers's next door....and then they don't park in front of my apartment.

Nobody got out of the vehicle, just sat there for a couple of minutes after I retrieved my packages and then pulled out and left. Maybe I'm just being paranoid...but I'm kicking myself for not getting a pen and taking down a license number....o_O

Yes, it might be a good idea to call UPS. The drivers should be on the look out for anyone following their truck. Guess you can't do anything to them if they haven't done anything wrong - yet.

The partially opened packages in the bed of the truck-following truck would be enough circumstantial evidence to warrant a call to the police, IMHO.

I think this is where some grainy surveillance footage from a camera 3 blocks away is magically manipulated to display the license number perfectly clearly. If you don't believe me, just ask Abby Prosciutto or any of the nearly infinite number of TV crime investigators.

Huh! ... I haven't used Photobucket since the fiasco last year when they suddenly changed to a paid service and broke a bajillion linked photo's around the world.

Yesterday I noticed in some of the old threads/posts where I had linked to my Photobucket pictures, they are being displayed again.

So, I went to Photobucket and they are advertising now at $1.99/month or $19.99/yr to host 3rd party pictures. I haven't paid that subscriptions but it looks like all the broken links from the past are now working again. Don't know if it will last ... but it's nice the old porch threads are displaying pictures again that where linked to P-Bucket.

Anyone else see this for their old linked pictures to Photobucket?

Chicken, beans, rice, tomato and mushroom burritos. These were insanely good. I had to settle for 8" diameter shells. The bigger ones that I prefer are only available at Food Lion, and sometimes are sold out even there. Oh, the hardships I endure!

Despite using smaller shells, I balk at reducing what I put inside them, which makes these require concentration (but only for a short period of time), plus two hands.

The school shooting in Santa Fe, Tx this morning happened in the tiny town just next to mine. The city limits abutt each other. As you leave one you enter the other. The shooter has been apprehended. He lives within the Alvin city limits. Prayers & good vibes are appreciated.

Ya know I witnessed the first what I believe was bullying at a high school in Spokane. 2 Mexican kids and a White kid. The 2 Mexicans were saying something to the White guy then all of a sudden one punched him in the face and kinda backed off they were still arguing and the other one stepped up and punched him in the face. Somebody behind me also at the stop light yelled at them and the 2 M's backed off and the other kid started walking thru the field and then running. Don't know what it was about, it was weird, school had just let out and 2 of the kids had beards which I don't remember anybody having more then peach fuzz when I was in school. But I can see how these things get started. I guess at least no one pulled a gun or a knife. That has only happened once here and outside of Spokane. This world is getting crazy. I feel like what Ninnie said in Fried Green Tomatoes. Death doesn't scare me and I'm at the jumping off place.

Billy McGonegal and Skippy Schuster bullied me when I was in grade school. They terrified me and they knew how much I feared them, and they took advantage of the fact. The one time that Skippy decided to beat me up, he showed a lot of mercy and didn't put any actual hurting on me. However, I feigned trauma from the "attack" in order to get out of a piano lesson.

Richard Hallas bullied me too, until we became the best of friends.

I don't remember any physical bullying in grade school. Maybe because I wasn't bullied I didn't pay attention to it. But there was 'shunning' ... some kids were just ignored on the playground ... never asked to play with others in kickball, dodge ball, games of tag. I guess that's a form of bullying too, excluding kids from joining the 'group'.
