STOP

Take a breath. Get a drink of something icy and sit! You are making too many advance plans. Nothing you plan for tomorrow is going to happen in the orderly, listed way you are counting on. Life is messy. End stage disease is even messier. Those of us in that condition welcome every new day that has us in it. We don't plan ahead.......we celebrate that we have the opportunity to spend time with the folks that love and support us. batteries and beds don't really matter. If something needs doing there will be somebody who really wants to help who will ask if there is anything they can do. Answer?........"YES, please and thank you!".

For those things that only you can do learn to compartmentalize. Quit assigning everything to your "immediately" compartment and put some things in the "tomorrow" or "whenever" compartment. Your main and only focus for the foreseeable future is to make absolutely certain that Ginny's daily experience is as easy and as comfortable as humanly possible by presenting her with your smiling face and her favorite warm beverage every morning. No matter the circumstances on any given day you have to exude confidence. Stop doing the Chicken Little thing!

Huh?

Il, I'm sure it isn't easy for you to dredge up these old memories, but it's so kind of you to offer this information for Pat and Ginny. Did you have any contact with a support group at the time?
Sorry. missed this. No, we didn't. Things happen very fast, and she was sure she would beat it. I wouldn't have wanted to change that. Even if it was 'denial', it kept her fighting it right through. As for me, I felt like Pat, too busy to dwell on it...

@ilporcupine do they ever give that neulasta in the doctors office as part of chemo?? Thought maybe if they did that you could bypass the copaynmt
We always had to go back after the cycle, and get the shot, as it is given at the start of the most vulnerable period. The Neuprogen is given every day instead of in one shot, but I don't know whether that is only in the off part, or all the time. They are very similar, except for the dosing, I understand.
Was the copay on that still outrageous?

Nicely said, once we were told the 'trick'. You said it better than I.

Hidden message. Hold your left mouse button down as if to copy and paste and it will show up as blue background with white text.

I did that, but all it did was highlight it. Didn't change at all.

Ok, scratch that. I figured it out. Hold the curser down and scroll down and the message appears. I thought the "STOP" was the only thing to change. Thanks 3mg.

Huh what?

Ok, I got it. Nicely said and good advice, but I get what Pat is trying to do. He's freaked and this is his way of handling things especially with his limitations. They're not even sure what they're facing yet. He'll have plenty of time to make adjustments as the days and hours come and at least these things will be done and he can concentrate on just being with her.

I'm having a hard time getting tired of these. When I'm about to run out of any ingredient, I make or buy more so that there's no interruption of daily multiple burritos. This has been going on for weeks now.

Do any males here take alendronate sodium (Fosamax) for male osteoporosis? I've been prescribed once-a-week 70 mg pills but I've balked at starting them due to the possible side effects seeming so extreme to me... so I'd like to hear from any guys who did/do take the medicine.

The Wilson sisters performing one of their hits over a period of 38 (!) years from the first video through the fifth. I'll not argue that it gets as good, but you have your work cut out for you trying to convince me that it gets better. My favorite is the 2nd one, from 1978, but if the 3rd one, from 2002, (24 years later!) had more competent audio engineering, it would have equalled or surpassed the 1978 version.
