Today marks my 4th Vaperversary! I am still delighted the transition was so easy, stuck, & yes, I intend to celebrate every year! No new shines for the second year in a row. I simply can't think of anything I want or need vape wise.

You know its funny we got one of my daughters to convert to vaping the others who couldn't make the transition are saying the same old lame things like you didn't quit smoking you're still using the vape. I think they are just jealous. Proud of her since I set her up with a Pico and a nautilus she hasn't had a smoke 4 weeks now. Even having to put up with a husband who still smokes. I told her don't let anyone else mess with your stuff. The teenage son grabbed it and cranked it to 20w which was not an enjoyable experience for her but I think she's got it now don't let people who don't know anything mess with your stuff.

aarrgghh! And what do you suppose the 'trigger' was to cause her to be patted down? I'm guess since she couldn't go through the scanner in a wheel chair, TSA rules required the pat down.

Congrats!

Hey, a new shiny doesn't have to be vape gear ... you can always buy 'anything' with the money you've saved to celebrate.
Then I kinda did it last month when I bought 7 seasons of Game of Thrones on blueray, then bought a blueray player so I could watch them, then bought a set of the books so I could compare the series to the books, & then 2 prequel books because I should leave no stone unturned in my GOT quest. All this considering I didn't start watching it until the 6th season.

Thanks Iffy. Hubs and I made the decision to never fly commercial shortly after all this crap started - the TSA, long lines, removing belts and shoes, being patted down. I know it's all necessary but We don't want any part of that circus.

When I had to travel a lot for business 15ish years ago, I used to be pulled over so often it got to be a joke among my co-workers. If they traveled with me, they made sure I went through first because more than 50% of the time, I'd get pulled over for the extra security pat down and swab test for explosives even when I passed through the metal detector and my bags (brief case and purse) had nothing special. It also happened at the gate where they sometimes did a 2nd screening. On more than a few trips, I got it at both points, really?! My guess - I was 'proof' that they weren't discriminating - middle aged, blonde, white, business traveling female who would be less likely to make a scene. I do not miss those days.

@bigbells HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sorry, I'm playing catch up this morning so I missed it yesterday. Nothing wrong with celebrating the day after - or even the whole birthday month!!

That's ridiculous. That whole pat down could have taken 30 seconds. With all the flying we've done I've never had a pat down that extensive.

If it wasn't for wanting to visit our daughter our flights would have been very rare and after all this time I wouldn't care if I never had to fly again. Fortunately our daughter is on the east coast again and plans to stay here (We hope) Except for Southwest I find that the airlines mostly treated me like they're doing me a favor by allowing me to fly on their plane so just on that alone I don't want to fly.

Ya know I read an article of how they are going to have the ability to operate passenger airplanes, Pilotless within 5 years. I hope they work as well as the driverless cars. Seems to me that with all the technological advances being made at the speed they are we will be obsolete by 2030. So why can't they find a cure for cancer..

I was telling you before about the bond the people have that are in the Chemo room. We were talking to a guy who has had 114 Chemo treatments. They had a Nutritionist talking to him evidently he can't eat much, doesn't feel like it. He still weighed 170 lbs. I was able to maintain mine at 119.8 for the last 3 weeks. I think the doctors are missing something with me. Ginny has been able to maintain her weight thru 3-3day Chemo sessions which is great. Episode 3 today then a CT scan next week. As far as this 3 dayer she is doing well so far but it takes about a week before her body catches up. Still hoping for the best.

I sure hope that her spts that were showing before haven't grown or better yet have shrunk some. She is too much the way she is handling this whole thing. She gets a really short fuse with me but that is not her and I know that. But all in all she is still the caring person she always has been. I don't think I could do it, hell I know I couldn't. She's one amazing lady, they broke the mold when she came into the world. Now I need to get her to come into the computer age.

Been talking to Logitech about setting her computer up the same as mine with the wireless keyboard and track ball. and they have assured me that I can pair hers up with a different dongle and the 2 won't interfere with one another. I think that would be the way to go for her.

She needs to get some new glasses but we are undecided about when would be the best time for her to get a new eye exam for no line bifocals. This Chemo has caused her vision to blur so it's kind of tough to set it up, when would be the best time. It has caused her vision to screw up so that she can't see things clearly on the tv let alone the computer, with me tear down my vape room I have a great flat screen monitor that I could hook to her laptop and I believe it is 24" if I'm not mistaken. I think it would make it much easier for her. I really want to get her going with it, I think she would enjoy it a lot once she got the basics down. This bed in the living room has definitely been a +. That was a good idea which I knew it would be.

Any hoo 1 more day of Chemo then 18 off to recoup.

Oh also I forgot to mention our Gdaughter and Son got their orders and He has to report to JBLM (Joint Base Lewis McChord) on Sept 30th which is about 275 miles away, so they have been actively looking at houses in that area. And also found out that her PA she works with at the Cancer Center lives about 1/4 mile from us, just down around the corner. Very handy if needed, plus one of her favorite nurses from the chemo room lives just a short way and goes by our house every night going home and has said if needed he could stop by on his way home. Can't get much better then that.

Pat,

Have ya thought 'bout dropping in at Walgreens/CVS/etc. and Ginny try their cheap reading glasses. Given dat her vision may change again, it may $ave ya sum bu¢k$ until her sight stablilizes.
