Huh, didn't realize they made long guns that tiny!

... it appears to me that Redford, shooting his imaginary gun right-handed, has the gunsight and target lined up with his right eye. Yet, his right eye appears to be closed or mostly closed. This picture is the better illustration of the alignment, although there's another picture which more clearly shows that Redford's right eye is squinted nearly closed.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I contend that it in order to aim a gun using the gunsights, the following things must form a straight line:
1. One eye of the shooter
2. The gunsight or gunsights
3. The target
I realize that with a handgun, it is possible (although slightly awkward) to use the eye that's opposite of the hand that's holding the gun. However, it appears to me that Redford, shooting his imaginary gun right-handed, has the gunsight and target lined up with his right eye. Yet, his right eye appears to be closed or mostly closed. There's a remote possibility that the fate of civilization might not be hanging in the balance dependent upon the outcome of this conversation.

As @garyoa1 would say: Yabut (I don't remember which misspelling he uses):
There is actually a good explanation. The picture suggests right-handed and right-eyed. Squinting (reducing the effective pupil aperture) increases the depth of field (at the expense of brightness). This is very useful as our eyes get older. It can be used to bring front and rear sights as well as the target into better simultaneous focus. (Why he would need such accuracy with an imaginary gun is beyond my ability to explain. Maybe he just likes the look.) As for the bent finger, maybe he is pulling the trigger of his imaginary gun.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I contend that it in order to aim a gun using the gunsights, the following things must form a straight line:

Yabut in the picture I furnished, Redford is clearly using only one hand, his right, to hold the "hand" gun.As far as being awkward with a handgun, with modern stances (both hands with arms straight out in front) either eye is equally "awkward"
Thanks Uncle for finding all of those. We both cringe at the thought of having strangers in our house but if it has to be it has to be. I'll be able to keep up again once I get this leg to heal. I just don't want this thing to get any worse. It is swollen but is starting to dry some. It's in an awkward place that gets pressure on it nearly all the time when I have my leg on, which I know is not good for the healing to happen.
Well, you wouldn't want your legs stiff, with knees locked, but what you describe seems excessive. (I haven't watched network TV for 30 years, or any TV at all for 20, so I haven't seen this myself.)<snip>
@pwmeek you're the right person to ask something that's been bugging me. In NCIS Los Angeles two of the main characters (Kensi and Deeks) always have their knees really bent when they're pointing a gun while walking. I don't see other actors doing that and I tried it. Didn't work for me…awkward.
Is it just Hollywood or is there a good reason for that stance?
CoolAbsolutely No Problem - It was "My" Pleasure . . . (AND - While I do not have the exact health problems you and Ginny are experiencing, I so fully understand being disabled and having many different health problems, being on a very limited income/medicaid, and not having/refused the services you need.) . . . I'm just very glad you reached out to get some assistance for you both. Hopefully, you will still check out some of the other links to see if they can provide any other assistance that is needed too (Portable Oxygen tank, etc.). More importantly, hopefully Catholic Charities can direct you to a Wound Care Clinic/Specialist/Doctor and/or also provide you with a "Wound Care Nurse" for your leg, especially since you can't continue to help Ginny and keep going without taking care of yourself too . . . Just Sayin' . . .
EDIT . . . BTW: You may want to also check out "Washington 211" informational website for Washington State that looks as though it might be helpful too: Washington Information Network 2-1-1

Also they are going to give me the first half of my iron infusion next week if the approve it. I am supposed to stay off my leg with it getting fresh air. It is so hard to do with the chemo and after. This is what it looks like now, which is worse then it was. It is about 2" below my knee.
Kind of gross but it never seems to get any air. I think tonight I will sleep with my stump shrinker off, maybe that will help some she called in more antibiotics. Need to get it taken care of don't want it turning into something that I lose more of my leg. That would be a disaster. Need to find some help around here. Alyssa tried but she has to go home on Sunday. Then she won't be able to come back for 3 weeks, after that will depend on the passes. So we're on our own again fo i
Hey LuLu that looks like my last message when I fell asleep in the middle.OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY EYES!!!!!!!!!!!
