... always have their knees really bent when they're pointing a gun while walking. I don't see other actors doing that and I tried it. Didn't work for me…awkward.

Is it just Hollywood or is there a good reason for that stance?

TBH, IMO, 'bout da only endeavors encouraging stiff/straight knees are landings in gymnastics (improper landings can be absolved) and board diving. Most other sports or daily endeavors I've been capable of conquering has involved flexed knees; almost always incorporating feet placement shoulder wide.
Although, must admit, nowadays, I do have to make sum (OK, maybe many) compensations.

Wow Uncle! I checked out this last reference and it's great!

@pwmeek you're the right person to ask something that's been bugging me. In NCIS Los Angeles two of the main characters (Kensi and Deeks) always have their knees really bent when they're pointing a gun while walking. I don't see other actors doing that and I tried it. Didn't work for me…awkward.

They are exaggerated, but slightly bent knees does help with balance. Also, maybe their stance is to present a smaller target?

Yeah, that's so associated with the FBI that it is sometimes called the FBI Crouch. I am not a fan.

I forgot to mention at our last meeting with the PA at Cancer Center they are discussing doing preventative radiation on her brain because this type of cancer likes to go to the brain. We are both wondering about this. Kind of a scary proposition. Anyone heard of doing this, she doesn't know if she wants them doing anything to her brain. Which is totally understandable I would be scared also.

The PA? I would definitely want to hear this from the doctor. May even be time for a second opinion.

I read about it on the inet and it is something that is done in this type of cancer but there is some indecision about it and also causes some long and short term memory loss. It's not a pinpointed type of radiation but a wide use of it. It said that it has extended life in about 10% I believe by up to 3 to 6 months. Quality of life can be helped. It radiates the whole brain, and is done on many with this type of Cancer but hard to understand.

I am grateful that she doesn't feel too bad but I don't really understand it. In talking to her you would never guess she has SCLC, just doesn't fit the symptoms which is great but very confusing to me.

IMHFO, F da PA!!! Radiation and/or air exposure and the brain are not compatible (trust me, Patty's been there and we are still coping) ; unless it's an life extending last resort. TBH, the PA either has had or needs a frontal lobotomy; along with a different vocation! Only the docs are to proffer possible treatments/remedies with the patient and family!

Just what Ginny and you need at this time, more effin' non-substantiated worries. And yes, I am pizzed! The PA is an effin' azzhat.

Dearest Cindy,

Thanks for your concern/inquiry!

Patty's new neurologist is currently searching for a suitable rehab/PT facility for an at least two week in-patient program. He said we are the first couple he has seen over 70 that are not taking prescription meds. So he really wants to see what he can do for her.

Again, thanx!

How are you gettin' 'long? Ya can PM/call me anytime if ya wish!

Yep we don't know about it either. I did read an article about it and it has been used for some time now with Small Cell Lung Cancer patients that haven't metastasized to the brain, it said the jury is still out on it and that it has helped like 10% of the people to get an extra 3-6 months of life. It hit us like a ton of bricks and Ginny doesn't want them doing anything to her brain, plus it does cause short and long term memory problems. So we don't know. I'm sure it probably came from the doc but it is something they do because this particular cancer because it likes the brain. But she isn't following what they say is the normal progression of this type of or stage of cancer she has. She has no cough, she is feeling really good with no chemo for 5 weeks and the blood after the side effects the first day has really made her feel better. Her broken ankle is getting better and she is able to get around really well. I thank God for all those things but other then her bald head and her memory problems if you just met her you would never know she has cancer. She has good energy levels and the pain meds are taking care of any pain which has actually been in the leg that the nerve is impinged, she hasn't lost an ounce of weight in fact she might have put on a couple. She has lost strength but I think that is mainly due to not being able to be that mobile because of the ankle and the nausea when she stands too long. It's been 5 months since the diagnosis, she is on 24/7 O2 and that also helps. We keep checking with it off to see if she can do without it and it is still dropping below 88 after 10 minutes or so but it is better then when she first found out. After 2 more rounds the scan will tell us what is going on. Like I said back when she had the last one the 2 spots by her kidneys could not be found and the largest of the masses has shrunk to 1.3cm. He said she was Stage 4 but actually this type of cancer isn't measured in stages, it is either limited or extensive. Extensive is if it has metastasized to other areas then the lung which it apparently has. Very confusing like I said at least to me.

How was it?
I enjoyed it. He is the typical preacher's kid. He got his .... kicked with a bunch of incredible circumstances. He then returned to church. It is apparently inspired by "Person of Interest" but without the apocalyptic and moral difficulties. Also inspired by "Touched by an Angel".

Not judgy, since his sister is a practicing Christian and a bartender.
