Just read a post on Facebook that Dave Bellware (bigbells) has passed away! No details...[/QUOTE]
Oh no. That is terrible news. Does anyone know what city in S Carolina he lived in. When I asked about not seeing him on here for a while this is not what I expected. We will miss you a lot Dave.

From Dave's website:

Dave Bellwarex300.jpg

What Happened Next The Last Time?

What kind of deja vu have you?
It was then and now it's new
What on Earth was the next move?
Was it dull or did it groove?

Watch the smoky past unwind
Keep up half a step behind
That is not the way to think
Present tense gets out of sync

Don't care what happened yesterday
Just go today another way
Forget the way it worked before
Maybe there's a better door.

Free to worry not at all
Before I fell, or I stood tall
Stay the course or leave the path
Either way we still can laugh.

Something familiar about this place
Been right here in time and space
Whatever's next we made it through
Now and then I think of you.

Who still have to follow the laws about how they can and cannot handle forestland management.

When I get the online notice about the sales I put anything of interest in my shopping list on my phone. I've got a couple different store lists on my phone since I don't buy everything at the same place.

Haven't bought any electronics there yet, but I love their meats! At work we always got our birthday cakes from there because they were delicious. I wish they had general signage on the aisle ends to give you an idea what's down there. Any trip to Costco is going to take longer just trying to find stuff. Coffee filters are located in with paper goods and coffee is located on one side of the store while the coffee makers and the pod coffee is located on the other side. Still, if you find the time to wander there are some good deals to be had and the Kirkland brand so far has been excellent.

At the checkout we just have them leave everything in the cart. Then when we get to the car we pack it up in the reusable shopping bags ourselves. I prefer the bags to the boxes because it's just easier for me to carry.

I've noticed when using reusable bags at the supermarket the checkers seem to want to cram as much as possible in 1 bag, especially the male checkers. If they're having trouble lifting it into the cart don't they realize the customer will have trouble getting it out? Gotta keep an eye on them young'ns because they'll sneak in the tomatoes on the bottom too!
Is Costco a membership thing? Do they have scooters? We just got our first one vlose enough to go to occassionally.

Yepper, unfortunately it is quite true. Here's the msg his brother left on Dave FB page. I left a note about how we enjoyed him here on ECF, particularly his drone vids complete with his signature dance steps at the end of each clip and that he had many friends here who will miss him dearly.

"My brother, Dave Bellware, passed away.
We don't actually know that much more. He was found today at his home."

and I believe it's his sister, posted this:

"I am so sorry to let Dave's facebook family here know of his passing. It was sudden and unexpected. I know he has many friends, family and colleagues here and we welcome messages of memories you may want to share on this page."

Dave's FB page: https://www.facebook.com/dave.bellware
I don't see any posts except Dave's.

Yes it is and I assume they have scooters. I hadn't looked for them. Their things seem to be packaged bigger than at BJs. Their meats are wonderful and their Kirkland brand foods have been very good so far. We get the 40 lb bags of bird seed and Costco is $5 cheaper than what we got at BJs and there's more sunflower seeds. I don't know if they all do, but our store also sells gas at a much cheaper price than anywhere else.

My only complaint is their items are not always where you think they should be. I was told that they bring in pallets of goods so they do their best. They try to have general sections and we're starting to get used to it. They also seem to sell lots of electronics and furniture etc. I was just there today buying 2 large metal shelving units for the kids to help with their storage and we recently bought one of those Ring devices for the front door that was $50 off. You should go in and look around.

hmmm? I just went there and saw my post and a couple-few more from ECF peeps. And there's another post with over 200 comments expressing their sympathy. Are you a FB 'friend' with him. Could be if you're not you don't see all the posts ... just wondering, don't know for sure.

Some of you may remember that I lost my companion, Chiquita, a while back. Well, yesterday I adopted another companion. Her name is Koko because of her chocolate color. She is a 10-year old long-haired Chihuahua. This started a couple weeks ago. I had made one my many trips to Sam's. While I was unloading the groceries I saw a dog standing on the corner of the sidewalk on my property. I was a bit surprised and since the traffic can be busy on our street, I called her and she came running over to me. Luckily she had a tag on her with her name, address, and phone number. Since the address was just a couple houses down on the opposite side of the street, I walked over and rang their doorbell. Long story short, the dog, Koko, actually belongs to their daughter and she can't have pets in her apartment so her parents were keeping her. We chatted and she said that her daughter might be interested in looking for a new home for her dog. I told her I would be happy to adopt Koko. They brought her over yesterday. As you can see, she is definitely a lap dog.

Sometimes our companions find us! It sure sounds like it was meant to be and now everyone is happy. Congratulations to both of you!

Oh Patrick, I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you how sweet this little guy is. Pictures of the grandkids are always such a treat. Here's one of Hux watching TV. They don't have many of his toys unpacked yet, but for a kid, toys aren't necessary as long as you have a box!

I'm not. My FB is limited to family & old friends that know me well. That's probably why I can't see most things.
