Wow! He's grown so much! How is Miles?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Yes he has, Hux is 2 now, still short and still refusing to talk much. He'd rather just make sounds to refer to things. A car or truck is a beep beep. Very frustrating because I'd love to talk with him! He obviously understands everything we tell him. He must be missing us because he picked up a Santa phone at Lowes the other day and was calling, "Weewaa, Nana!"

Miles will be 4 in December already! He's the studious one. The facts he knows about dinosaurs and whales and construction vehicles is impressive and now he's writing his name on his daycare projects and I can have conversations with him. Kids change so fast that if we don't see him for 2 weeks we're surprised at all the new things he's doing.

Beckett is big for his age, he'll be 2 in Feb. He's going to get away with a lot as he grows because he's so sweet it's impossible to be mad at him. He's so funny as he quietly mumbles to himself while he's playing. I realized he's trying to repeat words he hears.

We get to watch these new beginnings one more time when our daughter gives birth to our last grandchild about 1/2/19. So, we're going to have 4 grandsons and that's it. The parents have decided that 2 kids are all they can handle.

Those are darling stories! Becket is practicing talking. So cute! One of my nephews was like yhat about dino's. Then he taught his little brother. All 3 were Ninja turtles! Grandson was into Power Rangers. Grandaughter was a Barbie girl. They played Barbies & Power Rangers together.

Barbies and Rangers together! Well, why not? That's a riot. Aren't kids a wonderment! Tune in later for the teen years.

Oh another thing about Costco if you get an executive membership which I think is around $120 this year, then when your membership comes due you get a check for 2% of anything you spent there. Ours usually comes out to just about break even. Especially if you buy something like a tv or computer. We don't spend near as much as we used to there tho so we'll see next time.

Oh man. Looks like our washing machine has got troubles. I'm not sure it's worth it to pay for a repairman to fix it when it's going on 30 years old. Anybody have any thoughts on what good brand would be to look into? I used to always buy Kenmore/Whirpool (and this one is a Kenmore) but we've had 2 Kenmore refrigerators break down on us fairly quickly and the repair guy said they're making junk these days. Now I don't know what to think.

Oh they are both well into their 20's now. Grandaughter has her degree in Cosmetology & does all the microderm things at a spa. Grandson is an ER RN at a hospital there. Deals with a lot in the trauma unit. They switch out nurses between trauma & regular ER so they don't get overwhelmed handling trauma non-stop.

Get it fixed. They don't make them like that anymore.

Agreed, as long as the tub is not corroded/damaged.

Well I would suggest getting an executive membership to Costco and get one from them. You cannot beat their CS or the way they stand behind their stuff. You can just look it up online and see what they have. You get a good price from them and 2% back when its time to renew.

Well more Christmas fun for us. Ginny has to have 10 low dose radiation treatments to her brain and 3 Cyberknife treatments to her liver. The brain is because this particular Cancer likes to come back in the brain and this sterilizes it so the Cancer can't go there and the liver is to get rid of the one remaining spot of Cancer. Damn this is a rotten disease. They did my follow up CT and I am clear of Cancer. I wish I could take it from Ginny. She has an MRI on her brain on Sunday and hopefully it is still clear, if it's not then she will have to have higher dose radiation to her brain. Life sucks!

I am trying to decide if I need to get snow tires and wheels or save the money and hope that their long range forecast is right and we have a warmer and wetter winter. Once she starts this crap we can't take a break for snow. The Subaru did pretty well last winter with the snow we had but if I was to get them I would get them from Tire Rack to save money so I can't just go pick them up, it takes a few days for them to ship them to the installer, but I can get their recommended ones, Bridgestone Blizzak tires and 4 steel wheels for $1050 including mounting and balancing and tax which I am sure can't be beat by a tire store. Studless snow tires which I have never had always had studs, but they do make good ones now that are almost as good as studs on ice. Plus you don't have to worry about getting them off by a certain day.

after 30yrs, y'all going to have fun with a new one! Great timing with the holiday sales too. Maybe review a Consumer Reports from the Library. Most folks around my age are opting for the front loaders because they don't have to bend over so far. Have fun

Yep, we do have the membership. Just have to check out what brands they carry. I just wasn't sure about reviews on W&D these days. As time passes things change and I hadn't heard anything lately about what was a good brand these days.

Yes, cancer sucks majorly, but you're getting some good news here. Don't ignore those things.

But our daughter has a front loader and there's a lot of bending involved! I prefer top loaders, but I can get used to anything as long as it works well. The large tubs handle the blankets from 2 queen size beds so that's a must. I also need to find out about the new top loading washers not having the agitator and how that works to clean the clothes. It would seem the front loaders would work better for that. So many decisions!

So Mike had his routine colonoscopy yesterday and they removed a large polyp. Everything was great until this afternoon when he started bleeding - a lot! We ended up in the ER, they repaired the bleeding and he's now in the ICU as a precaution until the morning. He lost 4 pints of blood through all this! But he's got all that pisss and vinegar to make up for it so he's doing fine. As long as he doesn't have any problems through the night I should be bringing him home tomorrow. They better give him breakfast because he hasn't eaten since noon today so he's bound to get hangry! Not the way we planned on spending the day, but all is well now so we'll take it!
