Well Ginny says I had something happen to me while in the nursing home. That I am somehow different. I'm talking weird and she can't figure it out. I don't know what it can be my Grandaughter noticed it also. Hard to say what it is. They say I just sound different when I am talking about something. I don't know what it can be but guess I need to find my old self. It seems weird but when the 2 people who are the closest to me say that something changed it must be so. Something else to think about.

Congratulations! So glad to hear of your success. Keep it up, girl.

I am somehow different
Good different or not good different? So many things that could cause it. I would definitely talk to your doctor about it. Also, mention it to your home health care provider.

Talking about movies growing up brought back a good memory. When I was in my early teens we lived on a lake in the summertime. My dad was the stockroom manager at a local grocery store. On Saturdays, I would go to work with him and help out in the stockroom. After lunch, he would give me money for the local movie house, a drink, and popcorn. I was able to watch some good movies from the mid-60s. The Coleman Theatre in Miami, Oklahoma. Ah, the memories.

Yes you are a valuable asset as are all of you, at least to me. I only wish more were still here. Deb, Dave, Gary and more.

Ugh. We are doing ok but there are no above freezing temps in the future as far as my 10 day forecast goes. So we are in the deep freeze for a while. Occupational therapist coming today, I just want to get this shoulder moving a little without pain. As far as the hip is concerned it doesn't really bother me, either that or my shoulder hurts so bad I don't notice the hip.

Here in the south Sound area temps were around 40 all night, non-stop rain. Folk north (and likely those at higher elevation) still getting rain/snow mix or all snow. So we're getting back to normal. So far.

Hope your hip is actually ok, Pat, and not just masked!!

I think he did a good job on it. He told me the shoulder would be to worst of the 2. I saw the xrays and it looks very similar to the other one. It hurts a lot less then the other did tho.

Holding on ok :)

As long as we don't need to go anywhere... car's just too small be be an effective plow to get out of the driveway! The first storm, last Monday, didn't hit us really hard, only about 3" or so, but enough to keep the trash collectors off the roads, so that's maybe going to be an issue - but at the temps we've been having, not a malodorous one, anyway! And the latest, Thurs-Fri, was sufficient to end mail delivery. Dang it, no junk mail! :thumb:

Primary and secondary roads have pretty much been plowed, but of course we're on at best a tertiary, and more snow coming. Power has stayed on for us, but the generator is ready in case. Next one due in later today, and overnight. Then another for later in the week, with temps not going much over freezing until some time after then.

Other than the cats going stir crazy - nope, they don't like snow ;) - the biggest problem so far was a snow laden tree limb blocking the satellite, and direct snow load filling MIL's sat dish. Both easy fixes.

Stay in; stay warm, take deep breathes!
