Made my second leg ok, now in Needles, CA. Short run tomorrow. As in only 4 - 5 hours instead of 11

Cats may not be subservient, but they sure are dependent.

Yeah, house cats who go feral don't last long, although if they were good predators / mousers before, they have a better chance of getting to 3 in the wild. And people who dump them should become prey to larger animals...

Whoa, PA is #2 in the nation for aggressive drivers! We saw 2 today on our way home! We spent the night at our daughters so we'd be there early enough today for them to go to the hosp for a minor procedure. We got to spend the day with our 2 grand babies. They are just too cute for words, but we were pooped when we got home today. I've never been an aggressive driver because I figure I'll just move over and let them get out of my way. Who knows what's going on in their lives to make them that way, but I don't have to participate!
Well said. I have a heavy foot but not aggressive.

This is a repeat for those also on Willie's thread..

Several years ago a group of friends who played a certain game together on Facebook met in Orlando when the Aussie in the group (who I had known for years through Belgian dogs) came to stay at Disney. She is a Disney fanatic. So we met and everyone said "Let's go to Disney World." I said go have fun, I can't afford it. Aussie says "My roommate is ill, you can use her free pass.". What a day!! We all had a blast! 9 pm DH calls me - "You better head home, you can't see well at night" (Disney is about 1 1/2 hours from our home). I said NO WAY!! Stayed and watched the fireworks. Then, freaky as it was, it was a Super Moon night. Driving home I could see everything. It was like dusk with the light of the moon. Got home safe (about 2 am) and the memory of driving with that moon (and the fun we all had) will live as a happy memory for me forever.

Some things were just meant to be.

I've only had two cups of coffee in my 75 years. One (partial) when I was in my teens (which told me that I didn't like it); one when I was a young adult, when someone convinced me, at the height of a megadose (≈600 µg) of (the trippy stuff), that I needed a cup (which convinced me that I really didn't like coffee).

I've always wished I did like coffee because it is frequently the only beverage available. I loathe the smell of it, but I have prepared coffee for my wife (set up the coffee machine the night before) for the past 35 years. (She does a lot more than that for me.)
