Don't mean to gross anyone out....and I wouldn't have had the intestinal fortitude to do what my 17 year old Stepson did when my Daughter was about the same age and I was freaked out.... She stuffed a dried bean up her nose...he laid her down, held a finger over the other nostril and used his mouth to suck it out...

Brian did try that, but it didn't work. I never would have thought of doing that. Pretty disgusting, but I guess if you're panicked and the kid is screaming...

@2legsshrt . . .

First, please take a breath for a moment.

FYI: As far as I know - When applying for either Medicaid, Medicaid for Special Needy, or Social Security Disability, while they do look at your "assets", there are 2 main things they cannot force you to sell - nor can they say you do not qualify for assistance if you own them . . . 1) Your Primary Home, especially the one that you live in and 2) Your Vehicle, particularly since you actually NEED it to get around to Doctor appointment, shopping for food, etc.

Here is a link to the Washington State Medicaid Program - "Washington Apple Health":
(You can even apply online there too - and/or if you can't, someone can help you with the application)

BTW: They even have a section on the home page that might help you called: How Do I . . .

You can read more very valuable information about eligibility here for the Washington State Medicaid Program :
(BTW: It is a 20 page pdf file - you just may want to read online or call/email them to ask for a copy to be sent to you . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;) )

AND - You may want to read this too, it is about your options that are available for long term care and how to find help to pay for it:

Now - Here is a link to all the other information I posted for you before:

Really hope all this is helpful . . . However - If any of this information gets to be too much to read or comprehend passed it all over to one of your children or grandchildren so they can help YOU & Ginny . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Okay - I'm done got to go get some "Blood" taken out of "Me" . . . ;)

.
You're wonderful

Checking in from the work.

He's good, has been a little sick lately, mainly congestion and what may have been the stomach flu. He bounced back from the stomach flu, but his nose has been draining pretty bad. We're sucking snot from his nose, and using an infant approves saline spray to help keep it dry. The weather here has been rough on him.
Vincent tried that also, and it did work, but I was sorry I had to witness it....what a parent will do for their child!!!!

Guess I should mention that Matt loved to explore the old abandoned gold and silver mines around Virginia City, NV....had already trained in ' search and rescue' because of that, so he already had a good bit of EMT training at that young age....;) Yep, it's disgusting and I wouldn't have thought of such a thing....He just calmly took over and handled the situation.

Well we got some help. Her sister is buying the mh for what we owe and taking my old honda also. That helps a lot. May look at a vehicle that would take the lift for my power chair. That saves close to $500 a month. Now we’ll think about selling the house and moving to the west side. We’d have lotsa help then. We have a meeting with Gins doctors on Tuesday after her radiation. Still trying to decide if Hospice was a good choice at this point. I may not have to be on oxygen it’s holding about 91-96. I am pretty ticked off. I stayed 3 days extra so I could get some pt to walk but they cut me off of it. They knew I was staying just for the pt and they cut it off anyway. Kinda ticks me off. Ginny stopped, she didn’t look that good. DAMN this Cancer. All of our hopes and dreams are over now. Makes me feel like crying. She is still in good spirits and I try to be for her but I hate this. Now I see the person I was always looking for slipping away. I don’t know what I’m going to do. All we really had was each other and now what. Great now I’m crying again. We’ll get back to this topic another time can’t do it now.

Oh I’m still in nursing home getting out Monday. I am sick of hospital and homes. If I was looking at this forever I would go to another place as in heaven or hell I couldn’t do it . I couldn’t do it. I’m nearly crazy now which wasn’t a long trip.

GNite tomorrow is another day. Sleepy time is my only time to not think about this as much. I hope none of you ever have to go through this. God bless you and keep you until tomorrow.
As traumatic as your decisions are, I think they are the right decisions. Selling the property and getting rid of the camper and moving closer to family and medical resources are all good. Turning the responsibility of taking care of Ginny over to others is excellent in light of your own disabilities. This will give both of you the opportunity to enjoy being together and give each other emotional support.

As I sit here with quarter-inch hair, I agree totally. Cancer is a b----. All my prayers for you and your family.

Pat, you have and still are enduring so much and I so wish I could help you in some way!
Just know you are in my daily prayers and also know you have a lot of friends here who care for you!

Oh Patrick, I hate that you and Ginny are going through all this. It does sound like you have some good news about the mh and your car. That should help a lot and you'll be relieved to not be worried about the mh anymore. And knowing you're going home on Monday is great news. I'm so very glad to hear you'll be moving to the west side where you'll be around family. That's a smart move for everyone. Don't procrastinate about getting that done! We're still pulling for you and sending positive vibes your way.

Oh my goodness, look at all that hair! In that last one it looks like he's trying to figure out why he has 2 of those! I just love watching the wonderment in babies as they learn about the world.
