Good morning. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend here. As long as we're stuck at home I'm going to get some putzing done outside. And then I'm going to bake a Chocolate Crazy Cake. No eggs, milk or butter used. For some reason I haven't made one in years so it's time. Dark chocolate is good for you so that's my excuse for making it now. :)

AH - Well if Ya' really want to get back into the habit of baking a "Chocolate Crazy Cake" - "You" can make an extra one and send it to "Me" . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Hey, good to see you drop in. Saying weren't you involved in some major downsizing the last time you were around. Still doing that or on to other things?

wow! That's quite some changes you're going through. I'm afraid to ask how many #'s of stuff you got rid of.

Actually it's probably one of the easiest cakes to make. You just dump everything in a bowl, whisk it up and pour it into a cake pan and bake. I'd seen a similar recipe online recently and it reminded me of the Cockeye Cake my mother gave me. Very moist and chocolaty. You can pour a chocolate gnash over it or, like I did this time, made a cream cheese frosting.

Cockeye Cake
Measure 1-1/2 C sifted flour, 1C sugar, 3T cocoa, 1t baking soda and 1/2 t salt directly into a buttered square 9x9x2 pan (or 9" cake pan). Make 3 wells in dry ingredients. Into 1 pour 5T veg. oil. Into next pour 1T vinegar. Into the 3rd pour 1t vanilla. Finally, spread 1C cold water over all and stir together till you can no loner see flour.
Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

I've made it directly in the cake pan and it worked, but this time I mixed everything in a bowl and poured it in the pan to avoid having to worry about mixing in the flour in the corners.

When I make banana or zucchini bread I substitute applesauce for the oil and it turns out moist and delicious. Wonder if that substitute would work on this cake.

@Janet H . . .

Thanks -
So much for the recipe, I see how easy it can be to make. However, I don't have all the ingredients right now to make it as perfectly, including the MOST IMPORTANT ONE . . . "YOU" ! ! !

Just Sayin' . . .

You're very sweet. I just discovered there's a vanilla version. I'll have to try that. I cut the choc one in 1/2 for the freezer and can do the same with the vanilla one too. The temptation is great to sit at home and eat and eat and eat...

Well, we filled four 30 cubic yard dumpsters, gave away or sold at ridiculously low prices huge amounts of stuff, and still ended up with all that stuff in storage. At the price we are paying for storage, I suspect that a lot more could have been disposed of, and repurchased (if needed) after the move. Specifically, all the steel rods and bars which I kept as raw material for my machine shop, could have been tossed and the exact size needed could have been purchased when needed. (A: I didn't really grasp that we would be charged by the pound per month for storage; B; I didn't imagine how long it would take to find a suitable home with shop.)

We found out about weighing the moving truck when our daughter moved, but I didn't realize it also applied to storage. Yikes. That weight mounts up fast!

Although already posted in a couple of threads, I wanted to make sure everyone here knows too . . . I have what I consider an important FYI for those who might be interested:

T-Mobile was going to offer a new plan after the official merger with Sprint at the end of March. However T-Mobile decided to start it up today instead because of the Carona-19 . . . T-Mobile Connect Launches Early to Help the Most Vulnerable in America Get and Stay Connected

AND - Even though I use Metro by T-mobile (different service provider) - this plan cost half as much for the same type of plan: Unlimited Phone/Text & 2G of Data (which T-Moblie increases .5 G every year) . . . Metro $30 per month vs T-Mobile $15 + tax per month (Oh Yea - These are prepaid Plans) . . . You can even sign up to get a Tablet & Service for the same amount if Ya' already are a customer. AND - per chance you are a customer you might be able to change to this $15 plan too. OR - From what I understand, for the $20 plan pre month there is the ability to get a Free Phone .

I just signed-up over the phone - called 1-800- T Mobile (800-866-2453) - spoke with a GREAT CS Rep; Scott (from Idaho - hopefully you will too and if Ya' do tell him that OLD "Witty" Man from Florida sent Ya', I'm sure he'll remember and get a laugh) . . . BTW: They forgave the Activation Fee & Sim Card Fee also . . . All this took only 30 mins and I already recieved a confirmation email . . . The best part I keep "My" same number & Phone too (I still like phone even though it is 5 years old) . . . ;)

Really hope this information is informative & helpful . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

 So glad to hear that the Minifit is working for "You" . . . However, if Ya' do order some more, double check "prices" - Everzon has raised their prices by a couple of dollars ($ 7.14 for the Bronze) and depending on which other color you might want a dollar + ($1.07 & $1.24 for the Black) more . . . Not to bad (Plus the Pods are still $4.34 for a box of 3), but you may want to look at some other vendors to see what they are charging . . . Also - I'll see what I can find and let Ya' know . . . Oh BTW: Everzone also has a new discount code for 6% OFF: SPRING6 . . . Just Sayin' . . . :D

Everyone seems to be out of the spare pods. Do you think it's safe to pre-order pods from everzon.com?

Long story short . . .

Honestly, I only ordered twice from them and do not know if it is "safe", since I cannot remember if I pre-ordered anything from Everzon or not.

However, I will mention that I have "Pre-order" a couple of times at different vendors . . . Even one that gives you options to hold order until everything is available before shipping (which they did) and another who had the same option, however after a week they removed the items still not in stock - offer a replacement or a credit for a future purchase (not a Refund ) - so as a result I cancelled the whole order and insisted on cash refund or I would report them and get the bank involved (3 weeks later - got refund).

Now - Given the prices for the pods (still $4+) at Everzon and depending on whether or not Ya' are willing to wait for them - I would order and see what happens . . . Matter of fact, I probably will order a few more soon, just have to justify the cost of shipping . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Oh, remember from what I heard, not that I have done it yet, you can re-build the coil too . . . There are a number of How-To Videos on line:

Maybe - the "Vape Professor" - @JCinFLA - will jump in here to answer your question too, especially since she is the one that turned "Me" on to them . . .

Hope this information is somewhat helpful . . .
