Years ago I had a Golden Retriever I taught to find my scent (it's an obedience exercise). I was working in computers at the time, and my boss and I had worked together several times at different places/jobs so we were good friends.
Company picnic - I asked "Jack" for a $20 bill. I crumpled it in my hand (scenting it), while telling others to take $1 bills, crumple them up and throw them in a pile. When there was a nice pile of $1s, I said "OK, If Riker can find this $20 bill, in all these $1 bills, he gets to keep it." Everyone laughed and said "Yea, sure!", especially "Jack". I put the $20 in the pile, kicked it around a little with my foot, went to Riker and said "Find it!". He went out, rooted through the pile, and came back with the $20 bill.
Jaws dropped, while Riker and I celebrated his $20. After the picnic, I bought him treats and toys with the $20.
I swear this is a true story!

I'm just dropping this in here because I want to express myself and haven't found anywhere else to do so.
My Twitter account was suspended for a week because I suggested a certain fossil fuel company should die. That was a TOS violation, as if I'd threatened a person or persons.

Good morning people! It's another mild morning and I'm feeling like it's time to start getting pots ready for planting. I have a guy coming Saturday to till the garden and I'm going to dig out the hummingbird feeders. They always show up earlier than I think they should so I don't want to be late - again.
Saw a couple hummers the other day. Yes, seems to be earlier and earlier.
Got the bosses new garden plots tilled last week, need to get a load of garden mix today or tomorrow to fill up the raised beds. Much more of this, and I'll have to get a dump bed on my pickup.

So glad to hear that the Minifit is working for "You" . . . However, if Ya' do order some more, double check "prices" - Everzon has raised their prices by a couple of dollars ($ 7.14 for the Bronze) and depending on which other color you might want a dollar + ($1.07 & $1.24 for the Black) more . . . Not to bad (Plus the Pods are still $4.34 for a box of 3), but you may want to look at some other vendors to see what they are charging . . . Also - I'll see what I can find and let Ya' know . . . Oh BTW: Everzone also has a new discount code for 6% OFF: SPRING6 . . . Just Sayin' . . . .

@Uncle THANK YOU SO MUCH for the link to Elliot Advocacy. I used their email information to contact every exec of Best Buy. The very next day I had a call from an "Executive Resolution Specialist". He was very helpful and will be sending us a $100 gift certificate (which will help us buy a small replacement tv). It turns out that when you call Geek Squad regarding your warranty, one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing and there is no follow up - even when they cancel a service call.
History:
1/15 - no show
1/17 - service all completed, fridge noise fixed.
2/12 - no show to fix louder fridge noise, but noise stopped.
3/12 - scheduled serv. call for 3/14 - fridge is only 54 degrees.
3/13 - phone msg to us was left that 3/16 service was cancelled for our TV - WTH? (at least they called)
3/13 - we called back and ended up with 2 service calls scheduled for 3/17 and 3/18
3/15 - sent email to executives at Best Buy
3/16 - Best Buy exec called us to explain his thorough follow-up. Gave us his personal phone #.
3/17 - Repair person should be here between 9-12
So, this is not over yet, but I've bookmarked the Elliot Advocacy site for future reference.

Good morning.
The fridge repair guy did show up yesterday. He really seems to know what he's doing. We had to totally empty the fridge and freezer and turn it off for 24 hrs to clear an ice build-up in some tubing. Fortunately our neighbor had several coolers we could use. This morning we turned it back on so we'll see if it's cooling properly. When the new part arrives Pedro will call to set up an appointment and we'll have to empty and defrost the fridge again for 24 hrs before he comes. The good news is that I've been able to thoroughly clean the fridge and freezer. We're so grateful to have the old fridge to use in the meantime.

Good morning. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend here. As long as we're stuck at home I'm going to get some putzing done outside. And then I'm going to bake a Chocolate Crazy Cake. No eggs, milk or butter used. For some reason I haven't made one in years so it's time. Dark chocolate is good for you so that's my excuse for making it now.
