Forecast is for t storms for the next week, yuck.

We've had the dry storms pass over with very little rain and we really need a good soaking rain. I had to water the garden and flowerbeds a few times this past week. No matter how well I water it's still not as good as a soaking rain. All the plants on the deck need watering daily.

It's been so hot the the pool water is warm enough to just jump right in. At least that works well for the kids because blue kids who don't want to get out is not fun.

Mike said this morning that the bill passed so that the USPS won't deliver any vape products anymore. That'll work just great for people who want to order stuff and also for the financially strapped post office. Pretty soon the USPS will deliver junk mail exclusively, practically there now.

We've had enough morning showers this last week that it's only the potted ones we've needed to tend. Great when it rains overnight and follows with a (mostly) sunny day, but that's not in the cards for this week, no rain in the 'cast at all. :(

Heck, Janet, those blue kids could probably get a job in Vegas ;)

Can you or Mike please post a link to that info? Thought we had until September...

@r77r7r Found this on a deeming thread by WorksForMe. Posted on Friday.

Well....we're screwed.:-x Last night, the Senate passed S.1253, which will add vapor products to the PACT act. The bill was "hotlined", which means that there was no debate and it was passed by Unanimous Consent without a vote. I think it still has to be signed by the President.

The bill bans USPS from delivering vapor products, requires adult signatures for deliveries from other carriers, and requires vendors to collect taxes. If it becomes law, it's time to buy what you need before this goes into effect.
    ___________________
(If you search for S.1253 it will bring up the actual bill.) The thing is I've written to our legislators and I just get a response that their offices are closed due to Covid and they'll get back to me when they can. So now it's just up to the president to sign or veto.

Ha Ha! I just got a vision of our blue kids shivering so bad I could make a Youtube of them and call it a new dance craze!

I got all your rain and T storms, take them back, please. Puddles of standing water in the yard.

Looks like we could get T-storms at any time over the next 10 days so we'll be getting some of your rain. Our grass is crispy so we can really use it. I just hope we get some sunshine in between the storms.

I was at about 3 months and three weeks when they closed the barber shops. My strategy is getting a real test.
lol same here. I go in, tell em to cut it as short as they can without me lookin stoopit. (shu....) y'all!! lol that way I don't have to get to done again for 3-4 months. But I was needing to get in there when everything closed up

My Eva has several friends in various kinds of extended-care facilities, and is heartbroken that she (or any other of their families and friends) can't visit them. For them to be sick or unable to manage for themselves AND to have to do it alone just tears her up.
Yeah, I know a lot of folks are worried about loved ones. This was just such a shock for them. One day carrying on life as normal, the next thing they know both are in facilities. But very glad they've at least finally been able to have a video chat.

Don't know if anyone actually noticed my absence/limited access of ECF for the past couple of weeks - been going through a lot of personal "Stuff" like most everyone else (Birthday/Death/sadness/depressed), including having my access to the internet extremely limited given "My" Laptop's Hard Drive stopped working . . . However for the past 2 weeks and with much GRATITUDE and Overwhelming - THANKS - to an ECF Friend of "Ours" and an absolute "Miracle" worker and "MENCH" . . . "My" Laptop computer is back up and running - since they were able to "FIX" the hard drive . . . AND - Not least of all - saved "Me", especially since I was a "fool" that didn't "Back-up" their files often enough (last time was 3 years ago) . . . Not one of my 16 years of files vanished / were lost to "Me' any longer either . . . :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Now - I do not have to just rely on an outdated, limited and not up-gradable 10 Year old XOOM Tablet to peck and paw my way through ECF. . . . As some people might already know from previous post during huricains, I really dislike and have difficulty "Typing" on a Tablet that is so outdated that it refuses to open a number of website - NOT NICE :-x . . . AND - A using a smart phone for internet access is worse . . . :censored:

Anyway - While I would like to make a few replies and I know I've missed many personal memorial moments, too many to post a proper Birthday, Anniversary, Vapeaversary, etc. Greeting marking "Your" Day . . . So I hope Ya' will just all accept a simple, but just as important and heartfelt:

I didn't notice! lol then again, I wasn't on here. So sorry you've been through such a rough time with a death and depression etc. I know we all tend to do it, well most of us, but that's NOT the time to pull away yanno! And was it your birthday?? If so.............Happy Belated Birthday!!! Muah!

It's a gorgeous day today. Only going up to 73
I know what I quoted was written a month or more ago, but tomorrow or Sunday it's supposed to be 107 here. It's still a bit too early for that!

I have had this for many years. I should sell it I suppose cause when I am gone, my family will just toss it out.

that is sooooooooooo kewl!!! I hope you can either sell it for a decent price, or find someone in your family that would really appreciate it!

Good morning. Gonna be a hot mess here this weekend. Our son house does not have AC so they're coming over today to use the pool. So, it's going to be busy here, but at least we're not planning on doing a lot of cooking. I've got some ribs to stick in the oven and will probably go out and get some fried chicken etc so I can spend time at the pool with the family. Hopefully it'll be a relaxing weekend.

This heat is everywhere so stay cool and safe everybody!

Be sure to use lots of sunscreen. No wonder they are selling out everywhere. I had to drive way farther than normal to pick up some 100 sft the other day.

I plan to be in the pool in the pm but we are expected to have a t storm also in the afternoon.
