This weekend Mike and I both had the problem of taking a horrible puff on our Solos because our watts somehow got bumped up to 40+ watts! Blech! I'd just put in a new coil and filled the tank so after correcting the watts I kept taking puffs and blowing it out. After about 1/4 tank the flavor settled down and now it's fine so the coil and juice was saved. Anyway, that's when we found that you can lock the Solo by holding down the up/down button for a few seconds until you see a tiny little lock on the screen. Hold it down again to unlock it so you can change the setting. You all probably already know this, but we had to learn the hard way.

Very quick thinking to stop before the cooked juice clogged the wick beyond saving. I don't know if I would have had the patience to vape (and "spit") all the cooked juice in the wick.

And yeah, it took me a while to "discover" the lock on my two Aegises (the original 26650s) and my Aegis Solo. Those Up/Down buttons are just too easy to activate by accident.

I probably should have just dumped the juice, but I hate wasting good juice especially since I'd just filled the tank. It's nice to know the new coil could be saved.

Got an overcast 58 degree morning here, going up to 75 today. Great weather. It's pretty overcast, but we shouldn't be getting rain until tonight.

I was just watching 2 hummers at the feeders. They're obviously not from around here because they flitted around checking out the feeders for quite awhile before finally partaking, but then stayed for quite awhile to get their fill.

The squirrels are not happy about the cayenne I put in the suet. They're mad about it so they're chewing up the feeder. Such little brats!

There was a cute little blue bird house hanging from the tree not far from the back door of our daughter's new house. I opened the front to see about cleaning it out and a little critter's face was looking out at me! I've been joking about their "gerbil" in there. She spotted the little critter on the tree trunk and it turns out that it's a flying squirrel! Didn't even know we had them around here.

Does anybody have any recent news about Iffy?

The last news was in August. We got it from Kenna who got it from Debadoo. Haven't seen either of them around for quite some time. Deb was recovering from a broken arm, I think, and had spoken with one of Iffy's family members.

Good morning. It's rainy here which is a good thing because Mike won't have to worry about watering the grass again today. We had our pitiful lawn re-seeded so water is important right now. I was going to clean out the garden today so instead I'll get back to my ancestry searches and also putting my recipes in plastic sleeves and there's always the laundry. There's plenty enough to keep me busy indoors.

Thanks Mike. I saw that post but was wandering if there was anything more recent and hopefully happy news. It must be so hard fir them to be apart. I can’t imagine being apart from my hub like that and for so long. So sad.

I don't have any contact info for any of Iffy's family. And I'm pretty sure his not monitoring he email, although it might be worth a try in case someone else is doing it for him.

Debadoo is in touch with his daughter from time to time and if there's any changes I'm sure she'll let us know. I'm going on the "no news is good news" theory.

Wow, 38 degrees when I got up this morning! The leaves are turning and starting to fall.

I spent some time yesterday cleaning up the garden. I got a whole basket of tomatoes and little peppers. The weeds are gone and the trellis is down. Kind of sad, but it's also good because the weeds around the edges were taking over and now they're gone.
