I always keep my bookmarks backed up on a flash drive. That way if a crash happens (as it did a few weeks ago) and I had to reload everything, from Windows on up, I can reload that file.
I never figured out how to back mine up in current version of Firefox. On the upside I am able to organize the dang things as I rebuild the list.

There is actually a setting somewhere in your google account that controls if Chrome bookmarks are shared between computers. I think it is on by default so you don't have to do anything other than sign in. If it is turned off though they won't be shared.
ok......when/if the time comes, I'll get more info. I'll forget if ya tell me details now. lol

Yeah there is only like 10 episodes in all.
I watched a few of em. Not really my cup of tea, but they leave you wanting to know what happened. One episode in particular really made me nearly turn it off right then and there cuz it was disgusting lol

I always keep my bookmarks backed up on a flash drive.
I had wondered if you could do that, and my son said he didn't think so. I just got a thumb drive, so will hit ya up later to see how to do that.

wouldn't let me in, but maybe cuz I have google plus. Will have to check about classic google. If I can't figger it out will hit ya up. Good to see ya posting!

Just wanted to add my voice to the crowd. Transiting computers is a cinch with Chrome. Remembers almost everything. And I agree, having Chrome on a thumbdrive makes it easy to use someone else's computer with your Chrome account.
oh lordy, I didn't even know I had a chrome "account"

I'm so far behind, I don't think I'll ever catch up. Just popping in my head to say hello. I went to the other porch first and was totally confused as to why I couldn't post there. Then it hit me. Then I had to go back a page to get the link to this one. Oh well. Such is life's path.

All is well on this end. Life just has me running. I go to clean the house now.
Good to see ya hun!!

Dancin update............they got into Dallas yesterday............spent the night. she called me about 10:50 am and said they were leaving that area. We talked before they left and they have to drive right past me on I-35 to go home.......so........

I get to meet dancin today!!!!!!!! Wahooooooooo!!!! and her daughter and grandson!! So excited!!!

Go to Tools, Options. Once there, select Synch and set that up.

Or, to just export them to a file, go to Bookmarks, Show All. That will open another window of the "Library" where there's a button to Import/Export your bookmarks. :)

I use IE and the way I back up my internet bookmarks in IE on a flash drive: Windows/Users/Bea/Favorites. That folder named Favorites is where all the internet links are. I back up the entire folder on a flash drive. If you want to load them on another computer reverse the process. Keep in mind is that EVERYTHING in a computer can be traced down and most everything can be backed up if you know where to find it. Some files are hidden but most can be unhidden.

And while we're on the backup subject, consider keeping two backup flash drives or portable backup hard drives. I keep everything that is on my computer, including copies of my software on two very large flash drives that I keep in my purse. I know if my house burned down I would be grabbing it. The reason for two flash drives instead of a single one is because, like anything else, they sometimes become corrupt and you can't extract anything from them.

Of course there are many ways to back up pretty much everything on the cloud but I don't trust clouds or the companies that run them. For instance iphones have this app called Keychain for storing sensitive info and Apple says they cannot access it. I don't believe them. A good hacker can get into anything. Look what happened with Target, the DOD. I suggest that the best place for sensitive info, aside from paper files if you like those, is in your hot little hands.

The other thing is, when we delete files from a computer, they are not totally deleted unless a scrubbing program is used. That means don't just get rid of an old computer if it contains sensitive information (passwords, bank account numbers, etc) because someone with the right software can resurrect all that. Make sure you remove the hard drive and burn it or shoot it or whatever.

And finally, if you're not on the internet, do yourself a favor and turn your wifi off. It's only one click right on your keybord but it will stop anyone from invading your computer at least when you are not using it.

Hi all. Things are really hopping around here. We have a website: Home ~ S.K. Nicholls Author
Drop by and browse around. Lots of good stuff there. I want to thank @clnire for the lovely review. There are nine five stars and I am thrilled. The team we pulled together for marketing and PR really has me working hard. It's hard to remember they work for me sometimes. Just completed ten interviews and five guest posts, have had one radio show and another is coming up next month.

I haven't been able to keep up with all the posting, but I come by to lurk occasionally. I've been touring Florida and meeting lots of Seminoles to get ready for writing my next book...if I can ever find time to write. I'll be back on here a bit more frequently when I find myself sitting in the desk chair again to do that. We are going to Sleuthfest in February and then off to Vegas for more research. ;)

I miss you all terribly (especially our chats in the HO...I've somehow lost that link) and was soooo glad the hurricane didn't hit as hard as it could have, but sad to see the damage in Flagler Beach/Palm Coast. A1A is open again. :) Glad to know @Flowersoul and family was okay.

@Debadoo You have a package coming soon.

I finished the book this morning and found myself wanting more. Not more to this particular story, but more Noggin and Brandi! It's a great book, thank YOU for an enjoyable read.

@seapeach , I figured if i used my ECF name you would know who it was. My real name, not so much ;)
I knew right away!!! I read all reviews so I can continually write what people are wanting to read. The series will have the same characters, but the story line for the next book comes from the last. We don't know if Richard's financial partner and friend committed suicide or was murdered in book one...book two picks up there.

Thanks much now have those instructions written down so I can make a clean HTML backup once I get my list rebuilt.
