Back to the cardiologist Wednesday (I think) for more tests. He doesn't like the circulation in my left ankle or the sound of the arteries on the left side of my neck so I have tests to look at that. I'm hoping he'll have time to go over the results of the Haltor test but, I don't expect it. I just want him to fix this stuff. I get tired just walking the Abby Dabby dog out front to pee. Haven't taking her for a real walk in a couple of weeks now. I was up to a half mile and was working up to 3/4. Now I'll probably have to start from somewhere back towards the beginning. Oh well, how was you alls day?

What about a mix of several veggies that are okay for you to eat? I find I can fight the need to eat urge that hits when I'm on the steroids by nibbling. Like a rabbit. Small pieces of veggies or fruit. I cut them up really small so I can pop a piece on my mouth & nibble it. Dried cranberries, raisins, broken up pretzelsn or chips from the bottom of the bag. It doesn't take much, nibbling one piece at a time, veggie, fruit, sweet, salty. A bit of everything works. I don't need to feel full, or had a meal. It's just the urge to nibble.
That's kind of how I'm supposed to eat, lots of small amounts. But not the sweet or salty, or fat, or hardly any carbs.
How about 1/2 avocado?
Well, avocado is relatively healthy for something with so much fat . . . .

One step at a time. Rest all you can in the meantime!

I have been having a problem with the rear window on my Jeep. The strut supports have slowly been losing the ability to hold up the window which means that I keep hitting my head on it while unloading or loading groceries or whatever. I stopped at Autozone today to order a set. Talk about sticker shock! They had two in stock and they were $36 each. They still have two support struts in stock. When I got home I did a bit of research on Amazon since I have Amazon Prime. I found a set that are supposed to be an exact match for my Jeep and only had to pay $21. They are available via Amazon Prime so there is no shipping and I will get them in two days. Talk about a markup at a B&M and they are supposed to be better than OEM. I will find out in a couple days.

We get most of our auto parts online at Rock Auto. I think it's rockauto.com. Good prices, ship fast and if you get the wrong part you can return it with no hassles.

@MattB101, take it easy. Hopefully with the tests they will figure out what is wrong and fix you up quickly.

And sum folk wonder why K-Mart, Sears, Macey's and et al are closing stores.

Amazon is setting da new higher standard in product availability, delivery and customer satisfaction! Pretty sure Google will attempt to compete with/challenge da on-line market (lookin' forward to da competition!)

Fuel, groceries and our weekly dining outing are 'bout all I 'con$ume' locally. The fuel expenditures and local traffic aggravations in search of a product are not worth da effort any mo'.

Lean meat and plain vegetables mostly. I mix onion, pickle, boiled egg, and mustard with tuna so it's interesting enough to eat plain (no bread/carbs).

Last week I discovered cole slaw for putting my left-over chicken breast in. Back when I first started the diet a few years ago, I ate so much chicken that the thought of chicken started to gag me. Must find some way for variety. And yummy sauces are not allowed.

I'm not much of a cook. I don't have a lot of imagination for cooking. But, it's really hard to stick to a diet where you eat the same thing over and over. It all eventually becomes gag-worthy.

Yup. As long as I just eat a little bit, that way it STAYS good.

If I can stick to eating small amounts very often, I never get hungry. If I can do that, I won't ignore the diet and just eat anything I can find. But, eating so often and having to work so hard to have healthy things available is so much trouble!

Without a diet, I tend to just go without food until late in the day, then just grab something fast. Maybe just open a can. I'm a lazy eater. But, I LOVE to be cooked for! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and loved.

Just hanging out. Eating dinner and watching "Kid's Baking Championship" on Food Network. Kinda quite day. Tired as usual these days.
Quiet can be nice, enjoy it.

I wasn't sure when you were going back to the Dr for the tests. Take care of yourself, it took years for your body to get to where it is. It will take time for it to return to normal, whatever normal is.

We get most of our auto parts online at Rock Auto. I think it's rockauto.com. Good prices, ship fast and if you get the wrong part you can return it with no hassles.
Thanks, I will check out Rockauto. I believe I have seen commercials for them.
