Supposed to rain on Halloween here. We have had way more rain then usual here this fall. Hopefully it won't turn into snow.

I've cast my Votes (as in all candidates on the Ticket, not multi-votes for one in particular) and so, AFAIC, my voice is on record .. now I can just sit back and see what happens, which turns out to be a real relief ..
.. All I will add is "Choose Wisely, Choose Carefully" ..

I have been doing audio books through Audible for 15 years.Hey I'm listening to a short story on audible kind of interesting. Narrated by Sean Penn, Francis McDormind. Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff.
Not going to get into who I think is the best, but I am going to say, VOTE! And also, vote for who YOU think is the best candidate, rather than against who you think is the worst. In my opinion, anyone who says "I don't like either of them" but then votes for the one they dislike the least is throwing their vote away. If you truly like a candidates record and policies, vote for that candidate. I dislike what the whole "Don't throw your vote away" argument has led to in politics.

I know. I was checking for the price of PhotoShop a few months ago. The company I work for was going to buy it. Surprise, surprise! There's no way we're going to pay by the month. We found something else instead.Photoshop "Creative Cloud". Used to be you could buy photoshop. No more. Now you have to rent it.
Yes, I am very grateful! But surely you're thankful that he even wants to talk to you. Teens are usually too wrapped up in themselves or other teens to "waste" their time with us older folks.
I so envy anyone who is lucky enough to have grandkids. I will never have any and that is the bane of my life.![]()
Very glad to hear it! Thank you for sharing.Time for an update concerning my Bride's cancer treatment and stuff for those that are interested in following along. If not interested, please feel free to bypass the rest of this post.
We spent the 15th and 16th in the emergency room because she was having trouble breathing and her oxygen stats had dropped into the 70's, according to our pulse oximeter at home. They ran several tests and determined that she had fluid in the pleural space (the pleura is a sac that encases the lung; the pleural space is the area between the pleura and the lung). The doctor came in on Sunday the 16th and performed a thoracentesis (stuck a needle in her back to drain the fluid). We went home that night and she was feeling much better, but she's been on home oxygen since then.
She began having trouble breathing again this past Monday, so we managed to get in to see the doctor again yesterday. The doctor put in a catheter so that I can drain the fluid off from home. We'll have to do that for about the next six weeks. After that point, she says that the pleura should re-attach to the lung and there is a less than ten percent chance that fluid will accumulate after that. So that was good news, because we were expecting that this was going to be a long term issue.
Also, yesterday afternoon, we heard back about the clinical trial medications. Our insurance had denied coverage and denied all appeals. We applied for Merck's Patient Assistance Program. About a week and a half ago Merck denied our request, but said that we may qualify for an exception clause and allowed us to apply for that. We did, and it was approved yesterday! YAAYYYY!!! So now, we're waiting to actually receive the medications, which shouldn't take too long. We have a CT scheduled for tomorrow morning, and will likely have several appointments next week so that the doctors can run tests to establish baselines before beginning the treatment. She will take the treatments for two months, then have the scans and blood work done again to see if it is doing any good. But we're finally On The Path! She has been without any treatment for the past three months or so, and we've both been very anxious to get something started again.
So, that's the long and short of it for now... sorry for not updating y'all in a while, but we've been in limbo for a while and finally have some news to share. At least it is the beginning of some good news.Much love to all, and thank you all so much for following along in our journey.

Yabutt problem is, one's a thief and one's an idiot. (insert candidate of your choice here. The term is interchangeable) In this case there is no "best" one. Lesser of two evils is the only choice, IMHO.Not going to get into who I think is the best, but I am going to say, VOTE! My point is, there are other candidates. Not specifically endorsing one, just saying if people truly feel that way about Trump and Hillary, then voting for either of them IS throwing their vote away. People need to stop believing it has to be R or D, otherwise the political landscape of the US will continue to deteriorate.Yabutt problem is, one's a thief and one's an idiot. Absolutely agree. With 30 some parties, it seems odd that only two bubble to the surface every time. Sad that it's all about money. My point is, there are other candidates.
