Yabutt the problem is...
In 1929, the music stopped, the stock market crashed and the Great Depression began. It took eight years from the start of the boom to the bust. Subsequent investigations revealed the extent of the fraud that preceded the crash. In 1933, Congress passed Glass-Steagall in response to the abuses. Banks would be allowed to take deposits and make loans. Brokers would be allowed to underwrite and sell securities. But no firm could do both due to conflicts of interest and risks to insured deposits. From 1933 to 1999, there were very few large bank failures and no financial panics comparable to the Panic of 2008. The law worked exactly as intended.
In 1999, Democrats led by President Bill Clinton and Republicans led by Sen. Phil Gramm joined forces to repeal Glass-Steagall at the behest of the big banks. What happened over the next eight years was an almost exact replay of the Roaring Twenties. Once again, banks originated fraudulent loans and once again they sold them to their customers in the form of securities. Credit card interest rates capped at 17% suddenly rose to over 30% The bubble peaked in 2007 and collapsed in 2008. The hard-earned knowledge of 1933 had been lost in the arrogance of 1999. And Bill and Hill joined the 1%.
So, Bill has an incredible amount of charisma, a silver tongue, and is really likable. All the requirements of a con man. How is Hillary going to be any different?
On the udder hand the alternative is... better?

Pm me and I'll walk you through the process. I posted the same picks on a local chat board and people are now paying us to do their furniture!Oh that's kewl. We just put in a glass jar, like a empty mayo jar, and stirred it up. never thought to strain it through a tea strainer like Janet did........been wanting to get one of those. We just used regular Folgers though. Straining was a pain! Had to put it through coffee filters a couple of times, took forever! Lots of mess getting the bulk of the grounds outta the mayo jar etc. Then making coffee, was putting some of the cold pressed concentrate into the cup, heating water in a pan, and filling the cup. You'd have to use even more coffee with courser grounds than we did, but would likely have less of a mess. It made amazing coffee, but just wasn't worth it. Although the thing you linked to would help a lot!
Good Job!! I like em both. I have an old chest of drawers that I bought for 10.00 at a yard sale, in 1984 (was pregnant with my son). Still using it, and I love it, but it desperately needs to be refinished!

Soooooooo glad they did the drain, so y'all can take care of it, just sorry she has to deal with that on everything else. But sooooooooo happy that the pleural space will likely heal up after a month or so, so it won't continue, and soooooooo thrilled she was accepted into the trial!!!

Others beat me to it. I do totally agree with you........it's just gonna take more than an election for it to ever happen I think. Because it is all about the money and other corruption. If they ever got a person in the oval office they couldn't control, they'd shoot em, or if they couldn't dig up enough dirt on em to ruin em, they'd invent it! I hate being so pessimistic, but I totally believe that's where we're at.

oh that is awesome y'all are getting paid to do some refinishing!!! And thanks so much for the offer, but it'll be forever before I'm ready to do the chest of drawers. I may pm ya then though. It's not even here, it's still in my SIL's garage. Actually though, I will pm, if you don't mind typing it up, at least I'll have an idea of what I need to get and be able to do when I am ready. Thanks!
and thanks to you and David, I didn't realize that. I remember when it was all going on, but didn't know the house charged and the senate tried. I was certain I'd heard the house voted to impeach him, but maybe they just meant voted to charge him with impeachable offenses.
Thats only because they needed a 2/3 majority and they didn't have that many Republicans in the Senate, he was sort of found not guilty but there was 50 votes for on one charge and 45 on the other. It cost them 12.6 million dollars in legal costs and he bought his way out of other charges that were brought against him. I just listened to a small part of a book called Partners in Crime. I almost purchased it but there are so many books pointing out how both candidates are liars and crooks from the small parts I have heard about how Clinton and Obama figured out how to lie about Benghazi to us and then contradicted it in an email to Chelsea she shouldn't even be eligible to run for president. She's done too much already. And Trump isn't much better but all his stuff has to do with business not the security of the US.
yabbut if he's messed over folks in China business deals, or mid east business deals etc, it can quickly become about security of the US
Plus Hillary claimed they were dead broke after Bill's legal battle but they still had enough to put $850000 down on a 2.5 million dollar house in DC plus they already owned a 1.7 mil dollar house. Her idea of dead broke was having an income of $15.9mil the year after he was in office.
He's not smart enough to screw those people over they are the Kings of that. He's small potatoes compared to them.

It's this simple, if you don't vote for trump, then you are actively in favor of a Hillary presidency, and vice versa. Any other candidates are irrelevant, if you are cool with Hillary being pres, then don't vote for trump, if you can't stand the thought of a career criminal in the Whitehouse, then you MUST vote for trump, any other action would be saying you want her as prez.

That is fantastic, Russell! There is a shop here that sells the chalk paints. They refinish furniture & sell it in the shop, & you can have them do you furniture, or they'll sell you the paint & glazes & you can do your own. My sister did her cabinets at their lake house.
