Well Good Friday is over time to hit the hot spots in Dublin before going sightseeing.

Texas, near Fort Hood

love all the pics, but especially this one! So much beautiful architecture in other countries. Great stuff here too, but not like in Europe and other countries. I'm so glad they are together, in the place he proposed. What a happy happy time for them!!

I'm sure there will be a lot more. He proposed where there are some huge white cliffs over the ocean. Don't think its Dover isn't that in the UK?

Baby giraffe still has not stood up. Several attempts. Wonder how long it takes. I am glued to the live cam but have work to do

LOL...you must have some lag on your stream feed....baby has been on it's feet for several minutes now.....They are usually on their feet within the first hour after birth...;)

Sending hugs & positive thoughts. The BP is an incredible group of warriors and survivors and support. Many have bumped into that dark place and know it all too well. For me, it helps to know I'm not alone in the struggle and I hope it helps you in some way too.

I've notice that about the porchers, great peeps and sincerely interested in the well being of others. It's a revealing of God's character I think.
I rarely tell people about my personal problems and then only to my 2 close friends, never family. To post what I did about Julie is a real big stretch for me and I'm so glad I've found you all here to be so supportive.:)

Welp, the wife is in the hospital again with her pancreas, at least we know now what is causing it, gall stones. Good thing we have all that affordable healthcare...

I'm sorry to hear this. I just had my gall bladder out the end of February, painful little thing! Tell her to walk as much as she can after the surgery, it really helps. Healing thoughts are on the way.

Well, some not so great news for us this week. My wife Julie has found it impossible to get past a job interview for over 2 years now and loved ones have noticed her slipping mentally for some time now. She has been in total denial, of course, and only with carefully worded prodding were we able to get her to agree to an evaluation.
After a 4 month wait for her appointment she underwent a 5hr. mental eval at UAMS in Little Rock and has been diagnosed with MCI (mild cognitive impairment). I'm not so sure I would call it mild, she can't even count change or perform simple arithmetic. She is also unable to answer questions during interviews related to SAS, a software program she has been using for over 25 years. Forgetting things we discussed in the morning by lunch time is now the new norm.
She is, and has always been a worrier and apparently MCI can be brought on by stress, so they prescribed Zoloft, which she determined she had no use for after 2 weeks of feeling groggy.
We don't know what to do at this point other than pray that God's will be done so if you prayer warriors out there would send some our way we would be grateful.

Oh my, of course thoughts and prayers! I hope you can find the right medication for her, hugs to you both.

Sending prayers !

I'm glad that's working so well for you. I hope we find something that works for Julie as well.
I'm normally a very stoic person when it comes to life's bumps in the road but when I see this effecting her emotionally it hurts me deeply. She so wants to be a contributor to the household income, as she has been for 30yrs., but being unable to has brought my funny, happy, sharp witted life partner and soul mate to a very dark place.:(
She'll come out of it, she just has to.:)

She'll find her way...she sounds like a strong woman !

Cig, I'm so sorry to hear this! She really needs to let the Dr know that she didn't like the Zoloft, Dear. There are lots of other options for her. Both my sisters take Zoloft, but it did nothing for me. I didn't need an antidepressant, I needed an anxiety something. It makes me really sleepy so I take it at night. It built up in my system & I do well during the day now. Occasional attacks, but I have another one to take then. It makes me drowsy at first, but it wears off quickly h I can continue with my day. There is something that will work better for her.

Great pic! Been there, done that which makes me all the more jealous. I loved it over there, especially the tour through the Waterford factory. It's fascinating how they blow and cut crystal.

Thanks Classy and all those here praying for Julie.
Yes, Julie is a very strong woman. It's just so sad to see her struggle with the simplest things. It's frustrating for her.
Next appointment is in a few weeks, maybe the Doc will RX something more effective.

Thanks 3mg Meniere. Venlafaxine, lots of side effects. How do you get along with it?
Those lists of possible side effects are simply things to watch for that other people have experienced. It's not a given that she would experience any at all, but it is a way to pinpoint what is causing, say suddenly having hair loss or muscle cramps. Dr would be able to see that it's possible that it started when the med began. She might not get any of the side effects at all. Out of all the meds I take, & their possible side effects, I only get 2, 3 if I increase the dosage. All come frome 1 drug, & none of them are much to complain about, or a real problem. Don't assume a med should not be taken based on maybe's. Note all the might's & maybe's associated with vaping that keep people smoking. Same thing really.
