Akchooley, there'z a pile of rockers from the Philly area. (yeah that inkloodz jerzeee) (to me, anyhoo)
The same co-worker who told me I was his second favorite person from NJ (after which he told me he only knew one other) also said that his favorite thing about NJ was a Philly Cheesesteak.

The (Jersey) Devil must have made you do it. Y'all prolly know this already, but Springsteen and Bon Jovi both grew up in NJ. What's kind of unusual is that both still live there most of the time, although both have upgraded their digs somewhat compared to where they grew up. :thumb:

I don't know if the legend of the Jersey Devil is well known outside of NJ. Come to think of it, it's not well known inside of NJ. Any embellishment will do as a campfire tale.

LOL....Having spent a good number of years in south Jersey..of course I've heard of the Jersey Devil...;)

For the enlightenment of others...:D

Ya no, been to philly 97 jillion times, yet never had a cheez stake. I make em all o time, but never had a philly.
There's an episode of Parts Unknown where Anthony Bourdain enjoys a Philly Cheese Steak at a place in Camden NJ, and the proprietor says his cheese steak sammies are better than any in Philadelphia, or something like that. Makes it on a Kaiser roll instead of a sub roll, and if I remember correctly Bourdain agrees it's a great sandwich.

I don't think, though, that I've ever seen Bourdain eat anything that he didn't enjoy; he's adventurous, and he's a gourmand as much as he's a gourmet. That's what makes the show so enjoyable to me.

Hey don't know if any are interested but Costco instead of having a Black Friday sale is having a special 10 day sale starting the 18th. They have some good prices on some TV's all Vizios, all with built in WiFi and Chromecast not smart 50"=389 55"=459 65"=689 all of those have the 120Hz refresh rate so not for gamers, the guy at the store told me you had to have some kind of a smart device to control them which I think is BS. They come with a remote and I'm sure it will control all the basic functions. All with the free 2nd year Warranty and 90 day no questions asked return. Then they have a 60"=749 with 240Hz refresh and a 6" Tablet remote. It is by far the highest quality, all are 4K UHD LED LCD. He said you had to have a smart phone to even set the sleep timer. I don't buy that. I think he is thinking they are not smart tv's so you have to have Roku, Kodi or Amazon Fire to stream. I can't imagine them selling a tv that you couldn't control basic functions with the supplied remote. Pretty good prices especially with the Costco warranty and support. I'm thinking along the lines of the 60" but maybe the cheaper 65".

I second that emotion .. ;) .. all in Favor .. ??

As an alternative, especially to those that are KODI-less ;) .. bag a free DVD rental or $1.50 off a Blu Ray, at your, friendly, neighborhood Redbox, by using the code :: KHVWYUVE :: Today only .. probably not worth a special trip unless you're out and about .. must be used via app or redbox.com ..

My picks .. ??

Purge :: Election Year
X-Men Apocalypse
Star Trek Beyond

Any of which should provide a brief respite of escapism à la Hollywood .. :)

The Vizio M-series TVs have Android tablet remotes included. What are the model designations of the two that you're looking at?

Remember when I said I didn't know how long it would be before I started thinking that 70" wasn't big enough for me? Well, I bought a 75" Samsung UHD set that's supposedly getting delivered tomorrow. My existing TVs are HD but not UHD, and this one is 3-D capable, which is why I bought it instead of an 80" Vizio M-Series. It's my understanding that 3-D is kind of a gimmick, but I wanted to give it a try. I know it won't be long before I'll wish I'd bought a bigger set. :lol:

I was talking to the guy at SkyStream the more expensive Kodi and I asked him do you need to keep your Netflix and HBO and Amazon subscriptions and he said you can but why you can get all the stuff for free. Also asked if my 18Mbps would work or if I needed to upgrade he said that would work just fine and they make sure the Latest versions of the addons are on them before they leave the shop. They are in Orlando I believe.
