Sounds like your friend was one of the good, responsible breeders.
Another thing about good breeders - they will always take their own bred dogs back should something happen with the home they are placed with. Or have arrangements for the dog to be cared for. All my Tervs had/have in the contract that if for some reason I can't keep them I must contact them (the breeder) first before I do anything.
Yes....that was in Betsy's contracts as well....

If the Cubs lose this game, it's all on Joe Maddon. Some truly awful decisions tonight, most notably pulling Hendricks and asking Baez to bunt on a 3-2 count.
