I've never been much of a fan of a Christmas story. I do love the other two though, but like Doree, I gotta have me some miracle on 34th street also. My fav is the 1947 one with Edmund Gwenn
actually heard about this on the news before hearing it here. Shame he was so young, but with all the ill health he's had, it's really a wonder he lasted as long as he did.

Good Morning Scott. Oh boy we have about 10" of snow on the ground expecting 6' more tonight. It's just wonderful being between 2 mountain ranges. They are going to get a foot or more in the mountains on either side of us. Going to make some tough traveling to Western WA or Western Mont and all through Idaho so next round is headed for you folks East of here.good morning porchers
Watching the Indiana Jones series. Just watched The Day After Tomorrow, makes you think. Nothing above freezing here for at least the next week and snow snow snow.
By the way this winter is starting out think we've seen the last of the ground till spring. Still have internet so Kodi is getting a workout. Ginny had to go out and clean the dish so we could catch the game. Just of soon we didn't. Oh found out that an old on and off girlfriend I had when I was younger has Alzheimers and had it for 15 years first I've heard of it been bugging me ever since. She doesn't even know her own sister any more. They moved to Boston together. If everyone would put my SIL in their prayers would be appreciated. He has been deployed from Kuwait to a place thats not friendly. He is able to contact Alyssa about every 3 days so far. 3 months till he gets back to Kuwait and then about 25 days and a wake up till he gets to come home. He got sent there 2 days before Christmas just him and the other TACP.

Oh and a good thing he made Airman of the Year for his squadron. About 40 guys. Not one of the 12 for the whole AF but still an honor.
That was supposed to be 6" not 6'. We're trying as long as we don't lose power we'll be fine.heya legs thats alot of snow stay warm buddy
I don't think many enjoy getting snowed in, but....without a sufficient snow pack in the mountains, many places face a lack of water in the warmer months...

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull...
But that's not the worst of it.
My headlights are out of focus,
And it's especially hard to see things up close.
My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.
My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.
It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.
But here's the worst of it.
Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter,
Either My Radiator Leaks or My Exhaust Backfires!
If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull...
But that's not the worst of it.
