I saw a good one last night called Solice with Anthony Hopkins. Also another that was a different movie about a transgender guy in the 20's in Paris. Very strange but good at the same time. Name is The Danish Girl.

We watched "Hail Ceasar" by the Coen Brothers last night. That my friends is a damn strange movie. Not really sure if I liked it or hated it. Mmmmm.

Today is a big day for me. Get my new feet and ankles plus a VA physical. Got my cell phone all set up with the apps to control my feet just have to pair them with the feet using BT. Will post pics later. About 14" of snow on the ground but going to be warm this weekend in the 20's next week below 0.

We watched "Hail Ceasar" by the Coen Brothers last night. That my friends is a damn strange movie. Not really sure if I liked it or hated it. Mmmmm.

I generally like anything by the Coen's .. in particular :: "Inside Llewyn Davis", which is a thinly disguised re-telling of Bob Dylan's foray into NYC in the 1960's .. an excellent film ... as well as the rest of the usual suspects ::

"True Grit" .. loved it, Jeff Bridges as Deputy U.S. Marshal Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn may not quite be John Wayne, but he did a damn fine job ..
"No Country for Old Men"
"Fargo" .. the TV series is really great as well ..
"The Big Lebowski" .. one of my all time favorite films, watch it at least once a year ..
"Miller's Crossing" .. great noir
"Oh Brother, Where Art Thou ..?" .. classic and just plain wonderful

I don't normally watch sappy, tear jerkers, but I had a Redbox code that needed to be used, so I rented "Mr Church" the other day on a whim .. highest recommendation and captivating from front to back ..

Wow did you guys on SS get your big raise letter. I don't know how they afforded it. I got $11 a month but they raised my medicare by $1.86 Ginny got $4. I dont know how they can say the cola only went up by .3% must be in a different world. Plus that is the first raise in 3 years. I'm on Railroad Retirement but we get the same COLA as SS.

Oh, and wow! If your math is right, your SS is about 300% of mine, so maybe I'll get a $4 increase next month. I guess that's what I get for spending most of my working years in an economically depressed region.

December's SS check is for the month of November. January's check is for the month of December. I think I've got that right, anyway.

So I won't be looking to buy the new Bentley until I get my February check.

Consider yourself fortunate... the increase in the two parts of medicare is leaving me with $17.00 a month less than last year...

No that's just the difference between Railroad Retirement and SS but we also had to put in about 250% more then people who get SS do.
