Random acts of kindness bring good feelings to both the one giving and the one receiving...;)

Today when I took my trash out to the dumpster a man appeared and offered to lift the lid for me.... did I need his assistance? No... but I let him help and thanked him with a smile. He felt good about helping an old white haired woman... and I felt good about the first person to make such an offer in the three years I've lived here..it's a win/win. Little things can mean a lot.

Compliment the frazzled cashier on her manicure when you check out at the market and watch the smile appear.....help the woman frantically searching for unsalted butter for her baking and can't seem to locate it mixed in with all the rest....little things that make others feel better and make you feel better as well....;)
Absolutely! Without those little things, our world seems cold and heartless.
Well, we have a new hot water heater.
Is it pink?

I was a very grateful recipient of a kind act today. With my 88 year old mother in the car, I stupidly managed to get it stuck on a sandy road miles from nowhere. The good Samaritan pulled me out. I only had a couple dollars to offer in gratitude, so I offered him a gently used 12VDC compressor. He declined both offers and accepted my thanks and a hand shake.

I'd have gladly parted with the compressor in exchange for his help. Guess he didn't actually need one. Heh.
Well, at least Mom had a little adventure.

Oh how nice to read when something nice happens to/for someone.

Bells, If you want to get the color perfect without spending a bunch of money just stop at the paint chip area of your local home center and get what appears in daylight as neutral grays. Then adjust the color temp of the camera until there is no tint added or subtracted from the color. Then do the same for a real white. That's basically what the automatic white point adjustment in most cameras does. Problem is that "pleasing color" isn't the same for everyone. I did color correction and image adjustment for a living after I retired from the navy. Of course YMMV.
Hey, if I wanted perfect color, I'd be using auto white balance and I wouldn't be adjusting the color temperature. My other two working drones have a "vivid" color setting that makes reds pop. Since that setting is nowhere to be found in my latest/greatest drone, I needed to do some experimentation to try and duplicate it. I've succeeded, in my book, by bumping up the color temp.

The camera on this P4P drone is measurably better than any other <$2K drone on the market. I'm really enjoying learning what I can do with it.

Oar just load up photoshop. :D

I tried it with video .. even using an i7 with 32 Gig Ram / Quad Core / Nvidia GeForce and an SSD drive, it bogged down eventually .. I like Cyberlink PowerDirector .. it pulls together freeze frame with stabilization, slo-mo, and color correction .. Exports to HEVC, Multi-Cam Editing, Automatic Motion Tracking, and a lot more .. for the money, I don't think it can be beat ..

I have no probs, unc. But it really won't do a full length film. Few minutes, like biggies... knot a problem.
The free Windows Movie Maker is remarkably capable. It will do stabilization, slo-mo, and has a simple brightness adjustment.

In order to get the ability to make multiple-screen videos, to crop portions of video, and to play portions in reverse, I bought a program called Filmora. I like it. One-time cost of $65, for one computer only. I've had it for a couple of months now. I'm becoming comfortable with its foibles, which is a necessity with any editing program.

@Uncle Willie thanks for the kick in the .... probably just what I needed. We are thinking about joining the gym right up the street. Really nice place and close. I can't do a lot but it's only like $30 a month and they have senior classes twice a week and you can use it anytime you want between 6am and 9pm. About a mile away. We don't have a decent restauraunt or much of anything else but we have that. Get back to the Cardio Rehab I was doing. I can only walk about 1-1.5 mph for about maybe start out at 5 min a couple of times a session. But I was up to 15 min twice a session just have to keep track of my pulse.
We are going to get hit again next week. Wednesday when I go to get my legs our high is going to be 7 lows all next week below 0. I hear ya Mike its just getting too strange out there.
Another good movie, kinda strange but good 10 Cloverfield Lane.

Your insurance may offer free access to some gyms.

You got that right! You'd think I'd know better.
Her baby daughter, my little sister, has been living in the sticks, out of touch for a year. Her phone bill apparently unpaid. Mom was worried and I agreed to try to take her out there. But, I didn't realize how bad that road IS. The man who pulled me out told me 4x4s get stuck out there sometimes. {face palm}. My older sister has a big pickem'up truck, she'd have better luck than I did with my smart. They're most definitely road cars. Smart car, stupid driver. :-(
