I keep carrots around for late-nite... but sometimes, they just don't do it.
Carrots, peas, and beans count as carbs. I'm only supposed to have about 45 grams of carbs/day. Not that I've been following that rule lately.

But, it's so out of control that I'm getting scared and desperate. So, I do intend to start following the rules again.

Maybe cucumber or zucchini for snacks? Or, plain chicken breast or tuna?

I don't understand, this is supposed to be the Apple capital of the world and a lot of this years apples are terrible. IDK if they are shipping them out to get more money which I can't believe. They want $4 a pound for Honeycrisps and they don't taste right and they are small. It's ridiculous the orchardists are probably getting 75 cents if they are lucky. The best apples we have gotten here are Fuji's and they are $2 a pound.

What about a mix of several veggies that are okay for you to eat? I find I can fight the need to eat urge that hits when I'm on the steroids by nibbling. Like a rabbit. Small pieces of veggies or fruit. I cut them up really small so I can pop a piece on my mouth & nibble it. Dried cranberries, raisins, broken up pretzelsn or chips from the bottom of the bag. It doesn't take much, nibbling one piece at a time, veggie, fruit, sweet, salty. A bit of everything works. I don't need to feel full, or had a meal. It's just the urge to nibble.

Honeycrisps are always expensive, they can keep them. I like Gala apples for snacking.
